2-1 win over Tranmere. I did expect us to win after seeing the two teams face off last week, but wasn’t as confident when I saw Dennis and Stretton had dropped from last week. So Sho Silva came in and performed admirably for 45 minutes, but clearly wasn’t fully fit before going off on the hour.

Second half was a slog with having no striker on the pitch, and Tranmere’s late consolation made it nervy towards the end. But felt we deserved it for our first half performance alone.

Tranmere might feel hard done by by a disallowed goal. I would have been had we been on the end of that decision, it looked like our keeper fucked up, but I’d have to see it again before saying for definite that it was wrong.

Dear lord we were poor.

If I were scouting that game I'd be recommending five or six Accy players for Man City.. problem is, I know they ain't that good.

Lack lustre, lacking effort, lacking intelligence. I'm presuming the players were told they had all been sacked prior to the match.

We went back to trying to play around at the back. It didn't work.

Pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and start all over again!

Better team today, and with the better chances, don't really mind losing although a 92nd minute goal is always a bit gutting, but it leaves our focus solely on the league.

Piss easy that. We always play better in the rain. Keep it coming.

Can concentrate on the league now - today's game was a free hit and was relatively happy to avoid a replay and any injuries. The game was probably the scrappiest I've seen outside non-league but it was enjoyable in a laughable kind of way. Surprised it passed a pitch inspection and probably only got the go ahead because the rain was due to stop.

Mansfield still our bogey team - think they've had about four attacks in the two games this season and beat us twice. At least they're not hitting us for seven or eight like they used to.

Had enough chances in the first half at Crewe to get through, didn’t take them - their keeper played well. The second half was a bit of a damp squib. Tried to push forward with ten men to nick a win but got caught on the break and Crewe took their best chance in open play to win the game at the end.

Had a goal wrongly chalked off I thought, Crewe’s keeper looked like he spilled the ball to Kelman rather than it being kicked out of his hands. The red card was very harsh I thought and a yellow at best.

Crewe were wobbly at the back, but looked a threat on the counter attack and at set plays.

We’ll see this time next Saturday if this result has had any impact on us.

Tranmere's impressive unbeaten record against teams not called Carlisle continues.

Honestly though if you'd have told me a week ago we were gonna beat Tranmere twice in the space of a week I'd think you were high.

Having watched the highlights I was probably a bit harsh on jayden harris suggesting it was a poor shot carried over the line by the defender. It was a good save and he gets to the rebound and only then its carried over the line.

Apparently the disallowed Tranmere goal was a header by simeu. Shows how much attention I pay when the balls down that end. I just saw the ball in the air, Holy go for it and then it in the back of the next.

Just seen that Harrogate won at Bradford.

How fucking fantastic that our bogey team have suddenly found form 3 days before our visit.

Anyway we scored a goal after virtually nothing happening in the first half, I think it was the first shot from either team on target. Second half we had a couple of midfield injuries and had to bring defenders on to try to plug the gaps and see out the win, it didn’t work and Fylde scored with about 15 mins left on the clock. The rest of the game we spent just trying to hold on for the draw.

Replay in 10 days time, might be on telly to bore the entire nation to death.

Surely nobody needs to see Gillingham live.

You should really be in the relegation zone but even that would be too exciting for you.

We were dire at Weymouth. They should've won.. I don't know why I'm surprised we are dire even when we win a game !!

Could have been about 6-0 to us at the break, but I’ll take going out of another cup, no replay and Craig Clay suspended all day long.

Sounds like a shambolic performance at Stockport today. Gladwin rested and Clayton injured (out for 4 weeks) and Baudry appears to have reverted to being woefully bad at the back which doesn't bode well.

Not hugely bothered as we have a 100% defeat record in cup games this season. Hopefully this is a kick up the arse for next week's game at home to Tranmere.
I thought you’d beat us comfortably having been impressed with you guys in the league game and making seven changes.

Not sure what went wrong today. Sounds like it could have been a lot more than 4-0.

My apologies. Trying to make a joke of my disbelief that a team who have scored so few goals aren't rooted to the foot of the league because you're managing to grind out draws, and that you must have perfected the art of being boring by being not quite bad enough that it starts to get exciting again.

BELEAGUERED some might say

(But we’re almost as awful as having to take your Nan to a garden centre tomorrow when you have a horrific hangover, updates to follow…)

So that's us, Grimsby and Carlarl picking up wins without actually fielding any strikers?

We might be on to summat here...

Joking apart - that is actually a really good result. Unlike Halifax, Solihull have kept their side together and they were worthy of their third place last season (just couldn't handle the Comeback Kings in the Final).
Should've won really judging by the highlights. Had numerous chances to extend the lead but we just let them back in, usual shite defending and poor keeping. Solihull surprised that we gave them a game. To be fair I am as well like. That's what we've been reduced to.
