Nice to see the clubs agreeing on £10 adults £5 kids/senior etc, I imagine our initial 2,000 will sell quickly.
Expect you'll sell whatever we offer

Our opponents tomorrow Fylde have today appointed Besiktas assistant manager as their new manager. If I were a betting man I’d be sticking a few quid on them to win tomorrow.

I still think Murray could become a decent manager, he assembled a good squad here with a bottom half budget but being too negative at the time cost him.

Would’ve loved to have progressed into Round 2 and drawn someone like Wendies away.

Seems an absolute age since we’ve played there. We’ve actually got a decent record against them - fond memories of the last time we played at Hillsborough in 2005 - Owen Morrison last minute winner - and did the double over them that season.

Nostalgic, old ground with a big away end to fill. Maybe next year.

Wasn't he player assistant manager under Cox? Was a good player for you in the Conference. Had some good ding dongs vs Disley for a couple of seasons, I seem to remember.

Not as though you ever sell out here though

He may have been for a bit before getting the job but was captain during our title season, I think Micky Moore was assistant then, in fact at one point Cox fell out with him and sent him out on loan to some random non-league team that season. He originally was on loan here in 01/02 alongside Craig Disley in which we got promoted to league 1. A club legend to many stags fans.

We wouldn’t sell 3,000 tickets at a tenner, but we’ll take 3,900 to Sheff United at £25 a pop?

Ok pal!

There isn’t much basis for your point when we’ve only played you at Hillsborough 3-4 times in 23 years - and it’s not as if we fetched poor numbers on those occasions, either.

Baffling statement, Barrie.

You didn't sell out the upper on those occasions strangely.

I’m not surprised last few times(in league 1) we didn’t sell out. We’d just been through 2 admins and were heading out of business with home crowds of around 7000 or so. In the Prem we sold out as I couldn’t get tickets.

Now would be totally different, in the past we’d never have sold out Orient for an early kick off with 3 weeks still left to go. We’d easily sell out Wednesday, we took 5000 to Wigan on a Tuesday night in the league cup 4th round.

You didn't have the lower in the Prem oddly which was available for clubs.

Granted I agree things are a lot different away fan wise for your club now.

Most likely on police advice, although the PL are pretty crap with restrictions on away followings as well. Don’t want their product to be tarnished by actual fans I guess.

We had fans in the lower that day, as seen on the highlights of the goals.

We had given the lower to Leeds, Newcastle, Sunderland, Liverpool etc so makes it a bit odd.

I did not realise the lower tier resembled a Wendy house.
We can't see the point in opening the upper tier if sub 300 away fans expected.

Home ends for the cup game have around 16k spaces available.

We’ve missed a pen against Fylde, our rubbishness in front of goal knows no bounds
