That’s 50% of how many we’ve scored in 20 league games this season.

The tiny town of Gillingham has put the bunting up for one of the biggest FA Cup shocks in history.

Based on my quick maffs, that's 13 scored in ten cup games this season for Gillingham... it's got to be a mentality problem in the League

County host Walsall in the 3rd round this Sunday afternoon, in a game that many pundits are already describing as Taking Place This Sunday Afternoon

Two weeks ago I'd have been supremely confident of victory in this, but a number of injuries - particularly to the first-choice back five - and a virus sweeping through the squad have me worried. Our midfield was noticeably well off the pace during the defeat at Grimsby which rendered our normal pressing game useless. Hopefully the likes of Croasdale have recovered, but if it's anything like the dread lurgy that's been going around people I know over Christmas then it'll take more than a week to recover.

No offence, but I hope Walsall win. I've bought reduced price tickets for me, my son and his girlfriend for our scheduled match on the 28th. If you get to the next round, I'll have to book time off work for our rescheduled match.

I did not realise Ryan Law is still with the Gills, thought he was not returning, however, I note he is on the bench. Last year at this stage he came on as a sub against Brum and scored the only goal with a cracking run and shot. Hope history repeats itself.

A sell out tomorrow at Edgeley Park vs Walsall. Grimsby only sold 4'500 at home tonight. But Grimsby fans still want to be mentioned in the same breath as us. Not on my watch.

We can’t all play at the Theatre of Dreams.

Doubt it. Our attendance will be nearly double that and then you factor in what's spent in the ground, in the new fan area outside the ground which belongs to the club.

The only reason you'll make more money than us is you got through and I've got a feeling we won't.

Our home attendance is nearly 2.5k higher than yours, I think we'd have sold 8'000 easy with full price to be honest but our club likes to give back to our fans.

Price reduction has to be agreed by both clubs doesn’t it? No point in doing it at GTFC - our home capacity is only 7,200 and the price reduction wouldnt bring many more away fans in - especially Burton. Both clubs would probably lose out financially. If you look at the 3rd rd attendances today some are very low. PNE V Hudders at under 7k!

Overall tickets sold ( as opposed to attendance) for our home games this season will average well over 7k. We’ve had a number of home sell outs but we’ve also been getting a huge number of STH no shows, probably more than any L2 club - 5.8k STH but only about 5k attending some games. We have a lot of exiles and it seems many have bought STs just to guarantee a decent seat for a few games a season.

It’s frustrating for me as an exile who didn’t buy a ST, I have to get restricted view seats (we have lots of those) to get a few together, but we see empty seats with decent views all round the ground.

Was assigned to your game at work so had the pleasure of being across it.

There was me thinking our game last week was dirge. This was a whole new level especially in that first half.

Ground out another 1-0 though so I suppose it’s all gravy. I can see how Hurst comes under pressure at times when you’re losing though because the football is extremely attritional.

Tbf it’s only the last few games that have been devoid of quality, we’ve played far better football last season and earlier this season but the duff pitches (ours included) and perhaps some fair weather players don’t seem to handle the winter months too well. We also don’t have an actual striker on the pitch at the moment so that isn’t helping things at the top of the pitch especially.

Our pitch has wilted in the weather over the winter which hasn’t helped, I dare say we’ve been relatively entertaining this season

Good to hear you're all feeling better, staying at home last weekend obviously did the trick.

Yeah as PH says, we're missing Ryan Taylor a lot right now. Have had to change system drastically without him as he is so pivotal to the way we set up. Means McAtee has to play up top where he still offers a threat but nowhere near as much as he does in his natural position. Add to that some woeful defensive performances over Christmas and Hursty has also reverted to a back five so quite a bit of change. When the chips are down Hurst shores it up and to be fair to him when you're in crap form and making loads of mistakes you can't sniff at back to back 1-0 wins at home.
