Irrespective of the score, Cardiff vs Leeds will always get more viewers than Hartlepool vs Stoke so no surprise ITV have chosen it. Does it ever not rain in Cardiff?
I think they book 2 or 3 weeks a year

Shocker of a draw that. Beat three teams from League 1 including spanking the league leaders 5-1 to get to the 4th Round for the first time since 1999/00 and we get Wigan or Luton away. If it's Luton McAtee will be ineligible and if it's Wigan it's fucking Wigan away. Couldn't have had much of a worse draw than that.

I’m almost glad we lost now - saved us the embarrassment of getting dicked there instead.
Feel bad for you guys - get to round 4 and that is your reward.

Might have been a different number if they had got through apparently as they change depending on who goes through.

Stevenage had a goal ruled out by VAR.

Goodness knows what Steve Evans will think of it !

Cruel draw but the prize money from winning round 3 will go a long way, hoping for Wigan purely for the big away end.

I would be amazed if it isn't Wigan who you play. We have to go there twice in a week, so there is absolutely no way that we are going to put out anywhere near our strongest side in the cup game. Add in our injuries - we played the last half hour yesterday with no recognised centre halves on the field - and the odds are very much in Wigan's favour I would have thought.

PS
If it is Luton, for cup games the allocation would be 1500, i.e. the whole of the Oak Road.

As much as I despise Stevenage you have to respect that turnaround.

Definitely a pen, but a red as well was maybe harsh for Villa as there was a covering defender and he tries to play the ball but doesn't matter, fair play to them.

(Plus the extra fixtures may tire them in the long run!)

Over the moon with today's result, as well as we've done this season I never thought we'd be able to go to Villa and win. Such a good performance, we stuck in the game and turned it around with a couple of late goals, both will live long in the memory.

First half I thought we played very well, we were happy to for them to have the ball and we largely limited them to pot shots from range. We offered little going forward but were a marginal offside call from going 1 up. The one real moment of quality Villa produced in the first half led to their goal, the moved they ball quickly and pulled us apart. Luke Norris fired in a speculative effort just off the crossbar and that was the closest we came to levelling.

Second half we rode our luck a bit at the start of the half, scrappy defending but the game sort of fell back into the pattern of the first half, a lot of Villa ball, limited to efforts from range. Dean Campbell the game changer, picks the pocket of Dendoncker, winning the penalty to level and then is on hand a couple of minutes later to fire home the winner.

Everyone involved from the Boro side of things should be immensely proud, one of the best results in our history.

Couldn't have given a shit about the game today and seems the players on similar lines

Umerah off with an injury as well. Why not hook him at half time at 0-2, it was gone, fuck the second half off. Bring on the yoof, we had 4 of them on the bench. A game we definitely didn't need. 20 quid a pop as well, absolute piss take.

I went today - mate is a Walsall fan so I went along. Good game - lots of chances, and great scenes at the end. We was on the side, so good view of the penalty.
Where’s all the county fans gone off this thread ?

That Goal we had ruled out was never offside when the ball was played thought the officials were poor in general today.

Proper late flag that one wasn't it. Hard to tell from the other end but yeah I was surprised when the flag went up.

Walsall managed the game very well. Great finish from Madden for our goal but overall didn't think we did enough.

Shame Madden and Croasdale could only make the bench due to illness. We did miss them, with Horsfall injured, the whole spine of our team had gone yesterday.

I didn't think it was a great game, certainly from ourselves but it was good, tight cup tie. Good support from both sides.

Good luck to Walsall against Leicester.

I think Wigan away would be decent. You'd take loads and they are doing poorly. I think you'd get a result there and take them back to Blundell Park.

Luton's a shit one though and they're a good side to boot. If I was you, I'd be rooting for Wigan.

Torn because I've got something on in the evening in London (so actually thank fuck we didn't get United away or something as I'd have had to initiate crisis negotiations), so Luton is doable but Wigan isn't. I love Kenny Road too, but like you say Luton are a better side than Wigan. It appears I'm in the minority though and plenty of Town fans are up for Wigan. I don't reckon we'd take absolutely loads to it like we have in recent big away cup games (5k+ to both Palace and Chelsea), probably more like 1.5/2k maybe.

I’m now in the camp that Wigan would actually be a half decent draw, I think it’s the chance of Luton in there that makes it bad.

There wasn’t a single team in there we wanted to avoid more than Luton away, for all the obvious reasons combined with the fact our best player can’t play.
