Draw for the 2nd Round is happening tonight. Ball numbers below. Who do you want?

Only 14 League One teams are in the draw and 4 of those still need to get through a replay!

For me, Cambridge or Northampton home or away, or away to anybody extremely tinpot like Chesham, Stourbridge or Bradford.

1 Peterborough United
2 Port Vale or Maidenhead United
3 Barnet
4 Chesham United
5 Cambridge United
6 Mansfield Town or Oldham Athletic
7 Altrincham
8 Eastleigh
9 Northwich Victoria or Boreham Wood
10 Northampton Town
11 Brackley Town or Newport County
12 Grimsby Town
13 Hartlepool United
14 Salford City
15 Stourbridge
16 Stevenage
17 Millwall
18 Aldershot Town or Bradford City
19 Walsall
20 Bury
21 Portsmouth
22 Sheffield United
23 Welling United
24 Wycombe Wanderers
25 Luton Town
26 Doncaster Rovers
27 Exeter City
28 Dagenham & Redbridge or Morecambe
29 Leyton Orient
30 Shrewsbury Town
31 Yeovil Town
32 Braintree Town or Oxford United
33 Whitehawk
34 Accrington Stanley
35 Scunthorpe United
36 Forest Green Rovers
37 Carlisle United
38 FC United of Manchester or Chesterfield
39 Rochdale
40 Colchester United

Gary Nevile says he wants Salford to draw us. So obviously that won't happen. Either a local game at home or a non-league team away. Just not bloody Exeter again.

I'd love Chesham Units. I used to play for their youth team many years ago.
Would be bizarre to see Millwall at The Meadow!

So, only 10 league one teams safely through. 1 still to play, 3 more need replays. Considering there are 14 league two teams through with a possibility of 2 more joining them, that's pretty shocking.

Stourbridge home or away for me. I work with 3 of their fans who are mouthy about their chances against us so that would be a nice one. In reality I guarantee we will draw a League 1 side away from home. :-(

It's actually quite refreshing when you fancy your chances against anybody left in the draw home or away.

We'll go and get turned over by some fucking nobody's now!

FC United at home. They'll bring a few thousand.

Winnable too.

Tricky replay against Aldershot to come. We should have enough though.

Chesham (wherever that is) at home IF we beat Aldershot, round 3 is ours to lose

Exeter away... Meh. No excuse not to get to round three really but we will no doubt cock up one of the two games!

First ball out, nearly as boring as the draw yesterday although possibly the best tie us or Aldershot could have got.

Luton at home.

Local tie, very winnable, and we get to welcome home two of the biggest legends in the clubs history, nice!

Grimsby away isn't a good draw, but looking at the other ties it does look to have some sort of chance of being televised given the preference for a lower ranked club at home versus a higher ranked club for the TV games.

I'll be surprised if we get through this one, Grimsby have a decent home record and a useful looking squad.

Salford vs Hartlepool will obviously be on TV. If FCUM win tonight, they will be on against Walsall too.

We seem to play better away from home, but its a very difficult game for us. That said, we've already beaten a Championship club this season and taken a Premier League team to penalties in the League Cup. We'll go in it with nothing to lose.

Mark Tyler is closing in on 300 games for us! Don't forget the guy who gave him his debut...

Lots of other connections too - a certain Craig Mackail-Smith, Lee Angol, Josh McQuoid, Scott Griffiths, Tapping Up...

Altrincham at home. Great draw to be at home, and no excuses not to be in the Third Round hat.

Huzzah.

Let Joy be Unconfined. (Thinking about it, she is after the recent boardroom changes at Giggle Lane.)

80% chance of a 0-0 borefest. Unless its televised, in which case its 100% nailed on goalless... :)

Away to Exeter (if we can scrape past Maidenhead in the replay) is not ideal due to the length of the trip in December. Have to feel sorry for Carlisle fans in the cup this season, they're certainly racking up the miles.

No doubt Salford on the tv again. Probably the Stand out game as in David v Goliath
Another Man U wankfest
Have to question how a step 3 club has a capacity of 1400 when the league stipulate 1950 minimum. Kidderminster got refused entry to the football league over ground rules. How come it's different for Salford? Fuck me. Most clubs have a minimum capacity of 2000 even at step 6.

I'm a bit more optimistic than Matt, think we will sneak through against Grimsby, but not a great draw by any means. Chance of tv as BT seem to like showing Grimsby in the conference (or national league).

That's 10 away draws out of 12 in the FA Cup now for Shrewsbury. And barring a replay only one home game between 24th October & 19th December

Just about the worst possible draw imaginable IMO. 230 miles away, and we are scoring at less than a goal per game, so the Colchester defensive record isn't really a comfort.
