Nah, I'm with Lew on this Summerfield is absolutely garbage. Yes, he was in a shite team with us but he offered nothing not even a modicum of effort. He wouldn't be making our bench right now if we had him.

I still find it baffling how many football fans can’t get their heads round the idea that some players are good at some clubs and bad at others.

Obviously, my head is fully round that idea however there are plenty of players that push that to its limit and Summerfield would be one of those for me. Until I've seen him play well, I won't be budging on this.

The majority of predictions before last night seemed to be losses to Marine because we are, and I quote, "hopeless".

Some have been calling for Parkinson to be sacked since the Grimsby game.
Crazy innit, calls to sack him before he gets the chance to fix things. Moving Tozer into the midfield improved us in that area for sure, hopefully we will look as good against better opposition than Marine, as well as against Barnet.

Well I am just happy that when we play Chesterfield in the next round, we may have the appearance of a club with a structure and a plan. Who knows we may even score lol.

Whilst true, I’ll be refusing to take an opinion of the standard of the football league from a club who haven’t been there for 13 years
He's off like a bottle of pop again at the slightest thing. Cheer up la.

Playing shite for Grimsby in the league is just normal behaviour for any player isn't it?
Don’t know what you mean?

I’ve no doubt about that, but when a player is playing better at a lower level then that is probably the answer.

We’ve currently got Waterfall, Taylor Crookes and McAtee who have been excellent all season, all 4 had poor seasons in L2 last season. McAtee is far too good to be shit in L2 but you get my point, I think the gap is widening.

You can add Clifton to that too, who is playing the best we've seen him by an absolute mile. I think with Waterfall it's certainly a case of him being a top CB at this level, able to hold his own (with the correct defensive partners) at L2 and out of his depth at L1. Probably the same for Taylor. Those two could slot into any side at this level and flourish, I'd imagine. Experienced pros who are essentially borderline too good for this level. I think Clifton needed this drop in level to kick on and I think he could well go on to have a career at L2 level now. But with him and McAtee I think Hurst's management is definitely coming into play. Crookes, I'm not so sure about as I had no knowledge of him prior to this season really, but can see his form being down to a combination of the drop in level and to do with Hurst.

You’re possibly right, but a guy who’s played that many games in the league but slowly drifted down as he’s got older is a terrible example to use. I’ve not really watched any League Two football since we came down, I’ll see what Rochdale have got to offer when we play them in a couple of weeks.

I’m maybe biased here, because we spent most of our first two years down here signing players from League One and League Two who’d been doing well and with fans of their former clubs telling us they’d be amazing, with it never quite working out.

Here’s the big difference let’s see if your tiny mind can understand this chuck, my posts to you are all taking the piss out of you.
Your posts to the other Halifax posters are with you being serious and then getting wound up on a daily basis by them to the point of you turning into an obsessive stalker.
Can you spot the difference here?
No - didn’t think so.
Here's the difference, sweetcheeks, let's see if you're "intellyjunt" enough to grasp this: THERE ISN'T ONE! You can't help yourself, you see my comment, you HAVE to react. You're clinically OBSESSED with me. I don't mind though, I LOVE the attention. You make me feel REALLY wanted and loved. Mmmm, you're so ATTENTIVE. :69: :woot::fl::ds:

I'm not a football club. I'm just a man. A man with eyes.
Sorry. That's not how it works. You are who you support. Obviously if you support Grimsby, you are a superior being whose opinion and thoughts on the game are dispensed like holy writ to the smelly Non League masses. Even I know that. :ds:

Asking a Wrexham fan about the football league is like asking Stevie Wonder to describe his favourite Turner seascape.

League 2 has been pretty poor for the past few years, with just a few decent teams each season and a load of mediocre sides battling it out for the playoff spots, then a load of shit teams and then one or two absolute basketcases who inevitably save the shit teams from really having to worry.

Mitchell should have everything you need to be a decent striker, pace, movement, couple of good finishes tonight, strong. It's his second outing as a striker rather than being stuck on the wing and he's scored two.
I still believe he's got something about him.
Geezer must have been on the steds at your place because it just took a moderate south-westerly breeze to dislodge him off the ball when he was here

This is the winning (losing) penalty by Weymouth last night. I think it's fair to say Grant Smith was happy. Also the reaction from Jordan Barnett (in the coat) implies Mr. Goodship may have been partial to a bit of shithousing during the game

He looks a fair old unit to me and whatever his faults getting easily knocked off the ball isn't really one of them.

Also, the lesser spotted Frank Vincent started and looked… kind of promising. Ran out around loads, did some lovely skills, nearly got in a fight with a bald midfielder, scored, then decided he was Pele and started shooting from 30 yards all the time and got subbed off.

I’ve heard enough, send Francis to Boston.

Late to the party but I rated Summerfield in his second season (though we very nearly went down AGAIN). One of the few players to come out of that year with a bit of credit. His first season was an absolute stinker tbf. Though I would have to say he is just average, bit of a drifter and doesn’t actually affect the game that much.

I agree. I thought summerfield was one of our better players in his second season.

Saying that, maybe playing in a midfield with the waste of that is James berrett maybe made him look better than he was.

God James berrett was shit.

We are absolutely dog shite right now (have been all season to be fair).

H&W deserved the win. Easily outplayed us over the two games. And if any of our strikers (sic) are reading this... watch H&W's equaliser... that's how you score a fucking goal!

As for Johnson next to go.... who the hell would want to take over this bunch of clowns!
