Does this work? Is it too big? Do I care?

One thing is for sure, and that is that I’m not prepared to do a Sparrow type review for each game, excellent as that was - mainly because I haven’t heard of half of these.

So I’ll just say I’ve gone from behind quite confident about our trip to Tamworth, to thinking it may be a potential banana skin, for no real reason other than they apparently have a 4G pitch.

Just nice to be back in after the powers that be forced us to withdraw last year. We’d have won the whole thing.

I will add there are some cracking ties, and a real chance of a brother being humbled by a genuine tinpotter, not just your common or garden NL one. Southend are the obvious candidates.

Chertsey haven't lost a game, all season, in any competition! The good news is notorious FA Cup hater Phil Brown is gone. I'm going to this game and actually hoping for a draw so I can go to their ground for the replay. We should win, but we don't win matches and they don't lose them. Their manager has already said they'll use the turmoil the club is in to give them a lift and hopefully cause an upset.

Genuinely a bit worried about our game at Bowers and Pitsea. Feels like this is one of the biggest games in their history and they’re going to be well up for it. Think it’ll be 1-1 and we’ll do them in the replay.

Judging by Bromsgrove Sporting’s Twitter they seem to be expecting Man Utd to rock up into town and I think they may get a shock when they realise they are only playing against Grimsby Town FC.

Surely not another Shortwood

Interesting away draw for us v Horsham. Makes a change from Welling/Ebbsfleet/Maidenhead etc we tend to have.

The one thing Wild hasn't nailed since he's been with us is the cup comps. We've been awful in the fa cup the last 2 seasons. Although last year 70% of the squad were playing with Covid so maybe slightly understandable.

We've been handed a banana skin at Pontefract but let's be honest about this it should also effectively be a bye. We all know the cup can throw up some results though.

I'm quietly confident we'll be in the first round come Saturday tea time though.

4-0

Because we have had a good start to the season and no one has heard of our opponents most fans seem to think we can rest the first team, rock up with the kids and win.

So for that reason I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose. Hopefully Hurst doesn't see it that way and takes it seriously.

I think we will play a pretty strong team. IB received an online lynching after losing the Trophy semi final v Hornchurch just 48 hours after his arrival, and I think he’ll want to avoid a repeat of that.

Away at Hereford managed by Josh Gowling. Confident we should win this one as they are down near the bottom of the conference north although I’d expect it will be quite a big crowd Edgar street and they will be up for it. Main concern is Ardley’s attitude to the FA Cup, I’d expect us to play our strongest team though.

Yeah, was thinking the same. Depends on their style of play, if they play “up and under” to some big guys, we’ll struggle. Fitness may ultimately be our saviour ( hopefully). Losing is unthinkable.

Absolutely huge game for us against the old enemy from down the A37. It would be a big enough game in normal times but with what's going on at Huish Park at the moment it could be make or break for the management.

Home to Havant. Cant see us winning this at all as we are terrible most weeks and created zilch last couple of games. They are doing reasonably well in league below.

Best day in Chertsey’s history coming. We don’t even have a caretaker manager in place. I think Jason Demetriou or John White will be standing in lol

Weekend away in Manchester for me for this Curzon Ashton game. Has banana skin written all over it. Rowe has already said we will be resting players and I’m expecting to see 7/8 changes from the team that faced Southend.

Worst thing you could do is rest players V Curzon, its a no brainer.
If your Gaffer does and you get turned over, I,d have serious doubts about his judgement.

PS: Are Curzon still sponsored by Greggs, Last time i was there had some
nice after match pasties.

Yeah, we've had a week off and we've only got one more midweek match before the next cup weekend so I doubt we'll see big changes. I think he might rest McAtee and/or Taylor. I could certainly see Pearson coming in for Waterfall or Towler too. Revan in for Crookes maybe? Maybe starts for Max Wright and/or Lenny? I'd rest Clifton personally just because his energy has been so vital to us this season.

We’ve got Denton, Asante, Clarke, Carline, Hollis plus potentially Kerr, Weston and Khan out with injury depending on how they are after all being subbed with injuries vs Southend. Agree it’s got banana skin on it but I’d still be in favour in swapping some of our back up players in and taking that risk, certainly wouldn’t judge Rowe for it. Its a squad game and we need to use our squad, simply put.

Marine are flying high in the Northern Premier League - West Division. After their high profile run last season will this be a false start or the beginning of another run for them?

anticipating a weakened team from us, but you never know

We need to treat it like the 98 season and play first team every game as much as possible, didn't stop half the team playing 60 odd games and still winning!

We’ll go full strength I would’ve thought, not much reason not to with no midweek game. We’ve got so many injuries at the back that it’s just a case of who is fit enough to play there anyway.

They'll always stand a chance if we have poppadom hands in goal.
