Borehamwood fans have gone mad for our tie against them. Us, not so much.

Two more injuries to first teamers, Weston and Khan out for 6-8 weeks each so not farfetched at all.
Weston arguably our most important player. That’s going to kill us because no one in this squad can do what he does in regards breaking up play and covering every blade of grass right up until the 90th min

When are we going to catch a break with these injuries? Normally you’ll see a player gets a knock and they’re out for a week or two, but ours is always minimum 2 months!?

I didn't even know the Marines had a team.
They are massive, they even managed to tempt Neil Young out of his 11th and final retirement. Expect Railway Blue on here in a minute to defend NY's honour.

It's THEIR biggest game, not ours, you fool.:ffs::ds:
Don't give me that, the last time you (the former version of yourselves anyway) played them you put 14 goals past them and still got knocked out of that cup. That grudge has never left you :woot::ds:

He must be awful at his job at MerseyRail, they seem exceptionally happy to let him have another year away .

I've read your signature. My team has more Football League honours than yours! Great and historic!? :pmsl:

Lots of managers today are going to be thinking they are far too clever and pretend they are Premier League managers who for some reason need to rotate.

Chance would be a fine thing. Suppose we could put a few spotty youths in the team, but otherwise we’ll have to play same old. Which will make it doubly embarrassing if we don’t get a result..Unthinkable

Apart from stuffing Welwyn Garden City 5-1 in the trophy last season, we generally make a hash of easy cup ties, so i'm expecting a huge banana skin. Plus we don't win on Saturdays...

Games like today will prove we just don’t have the squad for this huge rotation that others can afford.

We can’t rotate anymore as our fringe players have now become our first teamers due to our injury list..

Expect only Tshimanga, Rowe and Miller to be able to get a rest

Our team is full of kids anyway! Haha I don't see anyone suggesting playing kids, just bringing in the liles of Crocombe, Pearson, Longe-King, Coke, LJL. All very experienced pros and only being kept out the first XI because of how well they're playing. It's a long old season and no reserve games, every player gonna be needed to do a job at some point. For me it's a perfect opportunity to give the bench some game time. Should be good enough to beat Bromsgrove. If we're not doing well, have McAtee and Sousa on the bench to make an impact. If we go out with a team full of experiences pros, we go out.
I went to the Youth Cup tie Chester v Grimsby on Wednesday. Chester usually knock higher ranking teams out of this, but came up against a very good Grimsby Youth team and lost 1-0. Worth watching if they are drawn at home in the next round.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
didnt think i could go but i can.

£10k may not mean much to chesterfield but its enormous for Curzon, to be honest not the tie i'd liked but we shall hopefully get a 750-1000 crowd which will help financially.

Will be more chesterfield than Curzon fans, maybe 2-3 times more (Tameside has 250,000 people in it but they all would rather sit in pub watching Man United and Man city its quite sad really)

that wont matter, Curzon are quite used to home games where they can be outnumbered, york, stockport, Halifax have in recent times...........usually it actually works out better for us.

It will as usual in these lower vs higher ties depend solely on one thing...............how lax the higher team are on the day. Will chesterfield turn up and try or will they strut out, see 600 chesterfield fans in a 900 crowd covering 3 sides, assume its a walk in park and go half hearted...............I am not saying here Chesterfield are arrogant, but that usually can happen when you have an away game that feels like a home game.

Curzon will try 100%, have some good attack options this year, can be dangerous but Chesterfield 'should' on paper have enough, but we're hoping for that slight lack of effort or some slight ping of arrogance to kick into their starting 11 which then gives us a better chance.

8 changes for us today, though 2 of those are regular first teamers anyway. Ideal set up for an upset.

Might turn the volume down on this soon as Jermaine Beckford’s commentary is fucking awful.

Cracking goal...

WTF is going on with Crocombe wearing red when Bromsgrove are - it's causing me mini-panic attacks...

On one hand i really wouldn't be fussed if we lost today. The way the injuries are mounting up, a potential free weekend might be good for us.

On the other hand, progress might mean generating some funds to bring in a player or two.

It's going to be a bit embarrassing at HP this afternoon, we're struvgling to sell tickets for a huge game against our fierce rivals. Says a lot about people's feelings towards our owners.

Who needs that elusive no.9 when your back 4 chop in with goals most weeks.

Even by the Shop’s standards managing to miss 2 sitters within about 3 seconds is pretty impressive.
