No complaints, you were more composed in possession and dealt with every set piece we threw (quite literally) at you.

The greatest irony from the game is our first goal game as a result of a brilliant bit of football which cut you apart, which unfortunately is out of keeping with how we approach games. I'm hoping Terry McPhillips will have enough of an influence to change things for us.

Any throw-in within 40 yards of goal goes towards the 6 yard box. Any free-kick within 60 yards goes towards the 6 yard box. The disappointing thing is, when we do get the ball down and play a bit we look half-decent

Looked a nasty one where the player just lies still after the tackle, players in the area all immediately calling for help from the sidelines. Will be a huge loss for us as he is the one player in the squad who has some positive intent about him.

As for the game itself, we did enough to beat Peterborough Sports and both teams can take positives out of the game - PS went toe to toe with a step 1 side but realistically they are looking for promotion from step 3 and on todays game will get it and we got our first win at home for the season, doubled the goals we have scored at the Walks and don't have another game on Tuesday for an already thin squad

Aldershot and Woking the only two national league sides to lose to lower league clubs. Barnet and Wealdstone also out.

Torquay, Dover, Eastleigh, Notts, Halifax and Wrexham got draws against lower league. Yeovil and Weymouth also drew.

AFC Sudbury the lowest ranked guaranteed in round 1, 3 others at step 4 have replays.

Onto yesterday, Dagenham battered us near enough all game with 10 men, hitting the crossbar, missing a penalty and a volley which went agonisingly wide. Balanta was running the show but as soon as Jones came off the bench for Dagenham, we couldn’t stop anything the pair came up with.

Jones looked a great player at our place on the opening day. Not a player I've seen mentioned when people mention Dagenham always McCallum, Balanta, Walker etc. Jones looked the type of midfielder I'd want here. Tidy player, doesn't give it away but it is progressive with it.
