The start of a month with lots of travelling for us. At Whitehawk Sunday, then at Aldershot Wednesday and we're also away at Torquay and Boreham Wood (a Wednesday night).

Don't think we have an injuries at the minute, just Stanley making his way back to a decent level of fitness after his lay-off. We won't find out until Saturday evening whether or not Wootton will be allowed to play i.e. he'll be allowed if Scunny get knocked out.

We are away YET AGAIN on Saturday at Nuneaton in a rearranged fixture brought forward from April 16th.. Sick to the back teeth of travelling so missing this and besides its FA Cup Round One weekend!

Not confident at all. I fear a heavy reverse

So one Beast travels to take on the other Beast, in what should be a heavyweight pie eating encounter.

Much like when we played Lincoln, an agreement is in place between ourselves and Wimbledon to ensure that both Parkin and Akinfenwa remain in opposite halves at all times, to avoid the inevitable risk of the pitch tipping over.

We'll probably lose, we've been shit for quite a while and haven't exactly been a "cup side" in recent seasons. Looking forward to it anyway, FA Cup 1st Round weekend is always exciting and Kingsmeadow is a decent ground to visit, as is the local area pub wise.

In terms of likely shocks, I'd go for Salford who will spring a surprise and bring all the class of 92 out of retirement for the night, along with special guest David Beckham, much to the joy of the already moist BBC.

Also Didcot will do Exeter on Sunday, as it's Exeter's recent tradition to lose embarrassingly to whoever the lowest ranked side left in is. I suspect it's actually a very clever money making scheme by the Grecians, as they now know whenever they're drawn against lower league opposition they'll almost certainly get some TV money. Everyone expects them to roll over on rutted pitches against part timers, which always makes great cup shock material for Clem to go overboard about.

Maidstone v Yeovil and Braintree v Oxford are my other picks for shocks, although the former would arguably be a bigger shock if the Stones didn't win.

It seems like a dull serving of fixtures, and it's strange that there have been so few standout fixtures and results so far. Hopefully Worcester beat Sheffield United and Babycham beat Barnsley, as AFC Flyde or Salford performing a giant killing would lack the flavour.

Colchester have sold out their allocation and some of their supporters have bought tickets from our end, I expect around 500 of them to be there on Saturday.

We couldn't go into the game in better form, winning our last 7 on the trot. Here's hoping for an upset. :)

I hope Chesterfield smash FC United and Notts County smash Salford.

+1

Not too bothered about Salford tbh, but FCUM are a waste of everyone's time. The sooner they eff off the better, they won't be missed. It's not like their fans will find themselves without a club, as they all follow Man Ure in one way or another anyway.

Comedy club.

Indeed, good luck to both of the 'Stones.

Heading back to Dover to take in the Stourbridge game, hopefully they bring a load. We've done well recently but have a quite hilarious past when it comes to the FA Cup...I'll take any win.

I'm thinking there could be quite a few of surprising/shock results. A lot of fans reckon Maidstone and Cheltenham are the likeliest sides to spring a surprise but I think there are several more who can. I'm thinking Alty, Brackley, Fgr, Eastleigh and Aldershot all have a chance of making the second round, or earn a replay at least.

The Alty v Barnsley game is all ticket on police advice and about 3000 sold. They have lost 7 games on the bounce,.... however we still have a lot of injuries to key players and a draw would be the most I think we could achieve, but with this team anything is possible.

Good luck to all the non league sides.

No local non league sides have made it near me so I *think* Accy v York will be my choice of game.

I'm a FCUM member and could get a ticket for the Monday night game too but fuck BT.

Away at Hartlepool seems like a shite draw, but they're not in form and we are. There is only really 8 places between us in the pyramid as well.

As Gary Johnson said today, our players want to be playing League 2 football next season and now the can really test themselves against a League 2 team. I don't want a replay, so either a win (preferably) or a defeat please.

I kept wondering where the rest of their team was, did they only bother playing six players?
All credit to Salford they deserved their victory

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Absolutely brilliant for Salford. Even if the bastards did sack Phil Power.

Well done Salford - very good performance.

Nice to see Danny Webber getting a goal.

Decent player for us - just suffered with injuries a lot.

I think Alty will do Barnsley tomorrow, very good against the 'big sides' at home and Barnsley's form is awful. Other than that can't see many upsets, you never do see them coming though.

Maybe Maidstone and Brackley have a chance. Chesham United too, obviously.

Incredibly bitter of me I know, but why did Salford have to be the one's to get the upset.

Classless of 92 ruined the magic of it for me, and the giant tosspot that is Gareth Seddon

I don't know, Seddon's undoubtedly a handful, but I think an innocent one.

It's weird, I’m against what Salford stand for but shamefully I've grown to quite like Gary Neville, despite absolutely despising him as a player.

I do miss the old Salford though, the orange army, it was one my favourite away days in the Evo-Stik league. They're either not there anymore or a lot quieter in red.

Hoping Wealdstone pull off a surprise and dump Col Ewe out of the cup, they have suffered quite a few upsets in recent times, love to see them of the end of another. Also hoping Millwall put at least 6 past $$$ylde.
I think I'd be more surprised to see Yeovil win than Maidstone with the away sides current problems and Maidstone's good form.
The game that might provide a bit of a shock is Chesham at Bristol rovers - Rovers home form this season is shocking reckon they'd prefer the game to be at Chesham, they might even be happy with a reply!

Dont understand all the Salford hatred on here.

Its refreshing to see a few local lads doing something productive with their millions and investing it in the local grassroots and giving something back to the community. And judging by the the fantastic pictures last night their absolutely loving it! Good luck to them! Besides they full deserved all they got last night as Notts County were shit.

Think I understand all the hatred towards FCUM far more.
