Aren’t all the fringe players furloughed, I suppose it gives the chance of the others getting vaccinated :ohm:
Considering another of our players has gone down with Covid we clearly aren’t vaccinating the squad quick enough!!!!

Everyone knows Chesterfield players are in the highest of priority group’s for getting vaccinated so it’s a DISGRACE that they haven’t all had it yet... THIS GOVERNMENT HAS BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS

Can see how low on the priority list the Trophy is by us taking the brakes off and having a bit of a go. Made for a decent game with a reserve team to be honest, 2-2 about right.

Fantastic debut for a teenage striker from the youth team, who came on, immediately won a penalty and got a man sent off, got booked for diving, then got a second yellow for murdering the goalkeeper. All within about ten minutes.

Anyway, won on penalties, the Buildbase dream lives on.

Concentrating on the league.....

The big concern for us coming out of today are injuries to Issac Olafe and Will Randell. Randell’s looking particularly serious.

Ordering a Currie (sp) after watching that..
Can only hope he doesn’t have second or third thoughts.

Another defensive shambles again today, in which Darlo will be disappointed in only scoring four.

Best wishes to Darlo’s injured player.

Congratulations to Southport too. Really had a goal and on another day a goal. Glad to get through and also the pitch inspection too. If it was off would have been good couple of weeks before we could return

Was a decent game to watch, we've played far worse this season and won. Was always going to be tough after conceding early, but we had plenty of chances and should have had a penalty in the second half. You were just that bit more streetwise than us. Your second goal probably doesn't give a fair reflection of the match, but we were always going to be vulnerable when pushing players forward late on. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Can’t have been an easy watch if you were one of the 170’ish Wealdstone fans to tune into the stream. We were well on top and after the first goal there was only ever going to be one winner. Even when the ref had a crazy 5 minutes with Wheatley’s yellow card and the bizarre penalty decision we didn’t crack and turned the screw second half. As you say, but for some proper last ditch defending from your CB’s we could have had 6. Bet you wish you hadn’t travelled Friday and stayed over now, at least then you would have had an excuse. Plenty of work for your new manager to do when they come in. But best of luck of luck for the rest of the season.

Still waiting to hear on Luke Charman injury. Hoepfully it’s not as serious as it looked. Fingers crossed for your lad as well who had to come off from the same incident. A proper 50/50 and unfortunate outcome for both players.

If that’s to be our last games of the season (depending on the outcome of the votes) then it was a good way to finish. £6,000 in the bank and we see what the result of the resolutions brings.

Not entirely sure what will happen with our tie. I assume if the test comes back positive and we have to isolate we will be turfed out.
Not the end of the world in isolation, but missing 3 more league games won’t help us catch up.

Decent draw, although they ran us close in the FA Cup a couple of years ago when we were a good League Two team, have beaten Northampton this season and are doing well in the league.

We’re really struggling to find space to fit games in now, but having got this far we might as well try and win it.

You might get lucky if you get to the final and be able to go. Wembley will in my opinion try and get in a couple of COVID test events in pre the Euros if it looks as though that will go ahead at 20-30% capacity like UEFA are keen on. A Trophy Final might well be one of those..

Yup, one of the reasons I’m a bit more interested than otherwise. We’ve never been to the new Wembley, with last year’s play-off final behind closed doors.

The Trophy is an utter nonsense this year, even more than normal.

Have they even played last years final yet?

No. The FA are still holding out for fans to be able to attend Wembley so they can get their joint Trophy/Vase payday.

We managed to get to the final (somehow) before losing to darlington, took 16,000 or so which wasn’t a bad effort.

The money at the semi final stage onwards is ok tbh, but i seem to remember the prize money in the earlier rounds was usually a tube of pringles and a half eaten banana.

One of my local sides Hornchurch doing remarkably well, my mate lives in one of the flats 2mins walk from the ground. If they got to Wembley I dunno who the hell would go, they only have a small hardcore fanbase of 200 if that!

So I guess we have decided on which thread to use.
Anyway Oxford City tomorrow for us and as normal a changed side to that in the league.
This time though some of it is forced with Rawlinson, Kelly-Evans, Doyle, Wooton and Enzio all expected to be rested as the first 3 are carrying knocks.
Might see Slocombe in goal as he is back from suspension and will want to get back up to speed.
Potentially Oxfords season now so I guarantee there will be no holds barred from them.

Give this trophy to Darlo, even signed a keeper the other day and voted for null and void.
How Hereford and Darlington think it ok to play is behind me,just wrong in every way?

Losing 1-0 atm to Oxford.
They have done their homework and pressing Notts high. 8 changes made and same result, no threat going forward.
Half an hour in and we got our first corner.
Deserved lead for City

Shocking first half. Hereford look so much better than us, we just haven’t got going at all and lucky to be only 1-0 down.
