Eli Sam, man. 95% of the time he looks like he’s never seen a football before, the other 5% is his own personal Puskas Award entry.

We always have such great fun in the Buildbase, always some chaos ensuing.

Oxford City were decent, deserved to take it to pens at least.

Can Mark Stimson win the FA Trophy for a fifth time? Fantastic win at Darlington today.

Hereford beat Aldershot on pens.

Notts, Woking, Hereford and Hornchurch into the semis.

Our line ups are getting weaker each round with the number of league fixtures we’ve got to play, but fancy us from that final four really.

Prospect of a trip to Wembley with fans is pretty enticing at this point as well tbh.

Terrible game, we did not deserve our late goal as Hereford controlled the game except for the last 5 minutes. Scrappy equaliser in the last minute of injury time should have given us the momentum going into the shootout, but 5 good pens from Hereford (strangely Walker dived the same way for every one, and they all went on the opposite corner). Frustrated because that’s a huge opportunity missed, can’t ask for more than a home tie against a team in the division below in the quarter finals. But on the flip side, would have been gutting to get to the final only to be behind closed doors, particularly as we’ve never been to Wembley. The better side won today, congrats Hereford, hope you go on to win it.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Another pile of shite from the Shots. All credit to Hereford, who had obviously done their homework; not sure we had done any, as Searle &co. were comprehensively out managed again.
Really pissed off.

thank god we lost that, concentrate on the league now . thankully had a keeper on loan but still had another one missing today. Joe Lewis had a whack on the head in midweek so missed for concussion reasons.

Been the best 24 hours for our social media profile since we accidentally signed a Hungarian meme and had to ban the entire country from our Facebook account.

Mark Stimson has won more away games in the Trophy this season than he did in his entire spell as Barnet manager.

Hopefully he can pick up another against Notts.

Huh! Typical! We'd have quite liked Notts County away in an earlier round - The Barcelona of Non League and all that. But now we can actually sniff Wembley, maybe Notts-so keen!

Still, we are the little guy playing battleships - and winning... We've sunk a load of cruisers so far and one battleship (Kings Lynn) - so why not the Aircraft Carrier? You lot are probably too young to know what I'm on about but I'm enjoying the analogy.

Anyway - can't wait. We've got nothing else to do for the next four weeks and we've never been to Wembley - unless you count Wembley FC who we've played 23 times away and won 14. That's a real statistic by the way, as in the quiz question "Who's won 14 times at Wembley but never won the Cup?"

So. Bring it on Notts. We'll be up for it. Then we'll vanquish Hereford in the final as we owe them one.

You heard it here first :)

I’m not sure you have played at Wembley. Wembley FC might be just inside Sudbury!

Good luck to all those that get to grace that Wembley turf. We’ve been twice in a week. Don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before

OK Mr Pedant! :) But it's pretty close and I'm sure we all see Sudbury as a sub-domain of Wembley. It's all HA0 innit? Plus we have to drive through Wembley itself to get there - so I'm claiming it.

Bit like us really. We technically play just over the border in Upminster - which is traditionally a sub-domain of Hornchurch*.

* but don't tell the folk in the big houses by the golf club!

BTW - are you also an occasional W&F fan? I have this vague memory you may be? In which case - top work - love the flags!

And while I'm here - is there a moderator or similar all-poweful individual who can change the thread title to say "FA Trophy 2019/20 AND 20/21"? I think that would be a major benefit for us all.

W & F (or Finchley pre-1991) were my local club when I was growing up and I did used to go to Summers Lane quite a few times back then. I follow more from afar nowadays, going to a match or two every couple of seasons. And yes, the flags are great - very funny!

There was a 20/21 thread but it was set up by B2TF so it couldn't be seen by all those who'd blocked him

If a Kings Lynn side you’ve already beaten can get a draw at Meadow Lane with half their team furloughed and a 50 year-old on the bench I wouldn’t rule out a shock!

Given there is a bit of money now at stake I suspect we’ll play most of the first team as opposed to the usual 7/8 changes, although most of them played last night and... well.

Should be decent stream numbers though (we cut the price to £8 for the last round) and as it’s split 50/50 (I think?) for the trophy it should be half decent payday anyway in this straightened times.

As the Championship Play-off final is on a Sunday could they have not had 2 of the finals on the Bank Holiday Monday after?

When do UEFA want Wembley ready for the Euros?
