I am actually getting used to it, no pubs, no restaurants, no football, 4 walls a sofa a remote control and a few ales.

My folks live in Northumberland now, which is tier 3. The nearest town, Berwick upon Tweed, has had SEVEN confirmed cases of Covid since March and yep it's been in tier 3 for months on end.

People's lives have been totally destroyed. Businesses having to close, people now on the dole, all that for the sake of seven people getting infected.

Pitch at Morpeth is amazing, looks like someone drove a combine harvester over it just before kick off.

We’re winning already though, Big Eli with a daisycutter straight through their keeper.

Now the ref’s blown up 10 seconds early because it’s chucking it down. A fine day out for everyone.

Tim Flowers has a huge job on his hands. Beadle has left behind a total mess.

Christ, we rested 5 players and gave them TWO penalties and even shed a man to help them into the next round, but HAHAHAHartlepool STILL couldn't beat us. :ds:

Oh and, Shay Gevaro scored for us. :fl:

Thought that was a good cup tie personally. The second half in particular both teams went for it and it really could have gone either way.

Definitely missing Hyde’s presence though. Bell looks a frustrated player without him. Debutant Billy Chadwick on loan from Hull looked very handy.

See you next Saturday Poolies.

Out on penalties at home to Leamington Spa. Tragic scenes.

Easy win for us with a lot of the fringe players getting a run out. Pitch was a bit special, uneven, just about waterlogged, long grass and a slope.

Unbelievable game. 0-3 down after 20 mins, defensive errors costing us. Quick goal after the break gives us momentum and we pull it back to 3-3, even missing a penalty in between. Go 4-3 up in the 91st minute and then concede a penalty in the 97th. Incredible save from Stuart Moore from the spot kick sees us through to the last 32.

Be a totally different team Boxing day, not that it'll make us any better, we made 8 changes today, defence is all inexperienced kids still learning and we let goals in something rotten.

Ours game at chesham was dreadful but got through 1 nil. A few players got 90 minutes who usually dont and Moxey and Little got an hour in which will be a bonus for forthcoming matches. Job done and move on.

Must admit, it was nearly full strength for us today. Should be an interesting game

Saying we made 8 changes makes it sound like we played our 2nd string, which we didn't.
Apart from McDonald & Williams, the rest were first team regulars.
When Feath & Holahan came on,it was virtually our first team.
Only Pools could get 2 pens, play against 10 men & still get beat.
It's a bloody shambles.

Nah and I'm not saying we have a first and second string but we do have a squad seemingly made up of bad players that was rotated, Killip, Ferguson, Odusina ,Featherstone, Holohan, Molyneux, Oates these are first teamers and would/should start when fit, none of them started, if that was a league game yesterday, they'd of all been playing.

I don't like seeing Pools lose but in a season like this one when there's games coming out of our ears this is one less headache to deal with.

We got through on penalties yesterday against Brackley after a 0-0 draw.

Rowe rested our first choice frontline and gave Boden and Mandeville a go who both did okay, but was quite clear that partnership lacked a cutting edge.

Good performance on the whole against a decent brackley side, which makes it 4 clean sheets from Rowe’s first 5 games. Onto Dover Tuesday night ..

No streaming yesterday from Welwyn,so relying on commentary, which was rather like a studio chat, with odd bits of football thrown in. A fairly even first half, but as the game wore on, Welwyn ran out of steam. Things got a bit bad-tempered,but the end result was inevitable. Incredibly, Shots first cup win for 9 seasons. Ho hum..

Twitter saying we have a 100% pen shootout win record since we stuck FC in front of our name, 4/4. Just saying like. :ds:

I’m just surprised that WGC are in the Trophy. I thought they were still a South Midlands League team.

Make your mind up. Either you are a new team with a 100% penalty shoot out record or you are the same old Halifax and part of the Brotherhood, you can't claim both.
