Not sure if all non-league Clubs are in this yet, or just South/North and below, but how are yours getting on?

We've scraped through in both of our qualifying games so far, beating Dartford at home in the 90th minute before beating Lordswood away last night AET. Third and final qualifying round to be be played the week after the FA Cup fourth qualifying, and who have we drawn? Merstham away the same as the first team! Like the first team, a great chance to progress and potentially get a big club.

Our academy team beat Weston-Super-Mare 6-4 after extra time in their game last Tuesday evening. Have to admit that I don't know who they will play in the next round.

Our kids hosted FC Halifax last night but the floodlights died and couldn't be resuscitated. Abandoned with the score at 1-2.

We have entered this for the first time this year with our new youth team.

We beat Aylestone Park in the Extra Premilnary Round at home 3-2.
We then traveled to another East Midlands Counties side in Ashby Invanhoe and won comfortably 6-1.
Then last night we beat local rivals Belper Town 5-4 in a topsy turvy game thanks to a late double from Bermudan U20 International Moziah Solassie.

In the third and final qualifying round we are away to the winner of tonights tie between Lincoln City and Dunkirk FC (based in Nottingham)

We're 2-0 up after 15 mins, so looks like it will be us.

Looks like it! Its becoming a bit of tradition for us to meet in a cup competition in recent years! It would be a good experience for the lads. Much like the first team we are weak at the back and I expect your young Imps to have a bit too much. But you never know! They had done superbly so far.

FT (AET) Lincoln 4-5 Dunkirk. Surprised at that but it looks like Dunkirk are a very decent side.

Sounds like some game!

I like to watch an academy game every now and then. Can't speak for others but those of ours I've seen they tend to play with a bit more freedom than the first team (although at the moment, that could be debated the way we are playing!) and it makes for a more entertaining game. Not seen one since the FA cup loss to Dartford two seasons ago though, as most of the league games are 1pm on an afternoon I'm working and the cup games tend to be away, or when I have to be up at 4 for the following morning!

We won at St. Albans on Wednesday night. Boreham Wood away in the next round. I know we made the 2nd or 3rd round proper last year so it would be good for the youth team to have another run in the cup.

The penultimate qualifying round took place this week. I believe the exemptions for the competition proper work the same way as the FA Cup.

We got to the Quarter Finals last season and about 9 of that team I think have made their first team debuts for the club, which is really encouraging. At least a couple of those who are on the fringes of the first XI are still eligible, so it wouldn't surprise me if we got even further this time round. "Luton U23s" (a Cat 3 academy) beat West Brom U23s this week in the EFL Trophy. We won the League Cup and the Cat 3 League last season also.

Finished Dunkirk 2-1 Alfreton tonight. Fiesty affair with Alfreton finishing with 9 and Dunkirk 10. A little unfortunate to bow out. Had it been 11 v 11 or at the Impact we would have won.

Our game v Oxford City tonight.

We run a full time academy, so should expect a half decent run in this competition at some point, which we haven't really had for a while.

We beat Kimberley Miners Welfare 9-0 at home. They're the lowest ranked side left apparently. Game was meant to be at their place but floodlight issues caused it to be switched.
Hopefully a FL game away at a new venue near Birmingham. Cov, Shrewsbury would be nice.

We also don't do this cup malarkey too well. Merstham academy have scored a shed load of goals this season apparently.
