The area of Sheffield I live in (Meersbrook) apparently used to be part of Derbyshire according to a free magazine that we get through the door, that I always claims is shit but then always read regardless. Anyway I am delighted that I can now spend Christmas eve travelling around my local neighbourhood, posting the leaflets I made saying "Support Franchise Derby for a brighter future", not doubt there will be a statue of me outside the ground in years to come after I convert all the heathens around me.

Who do we play this weekend now that I am a Derby fan? also can you give me a run down of people to say I love and hate?

The thing is that Derby really isn't a huge place and given that many people around Burton and Mansfield are going to be Sheff Weds fans, obviously, then DCFC have done remarkably well for a club with a very small catchment area.

In many respects, Derby are the new MK Dons, building from the bottom up with a really cracking stadium, a good Cockney manager, defenders with exotic American wives, community spirit.

I think that Derby really can expand beyond the Derwent and the A6 if they boost their community work. Personally, I'd like to see a DCFC TV channel, a wider range of leisurewear in the shop perhaps including more slacks and belts, and diaries.
