Grew up with defender James Tarkowski. Didn't have him down to be a defender, back in the day.
Was absolutely gutted when you got him off us as he was one of our best players and growing in confidence.

Noticed he was on the bench for a few games mid-season but he seems to be starting every match lately. What are your thoughts on him?

Generally, he's been a quality defender for us. Far too good for League 1, could tell just from his short spell with us last season, his distribution was quality, and we barely ever conceded with him in the team.
He's been found out a bit at Championship level, where he has less time on the ball. His distribution is nowhere near as good, and he can get easily beaten by a long ball. Still a massive fan, and he's our best CB, but he has been a bit error prone this season (like all our centre halves). Cost us points against Bolton last weekend, and made a few errors that should have been punished against Reading.

He's still very young, and can definitely see him playing Premier League at some point in his career, but this season has been tough for him at times.
