Congratulations, one hell of an escape.
Make it count next season - if you are languishing again next year it would almost rub more salt in the wound than today. Believe me, give Ronnie a half decent budget and you'll be up at the right end next season. Go and 'do a Wycombe'. :box:

Thanks mate. Sorry to see you guys go down. I don't think I could take another season like this one!!

Hopefully see you back in the FL league soon.

Remarkable escape. They looked dead and buried a few months ago.

I just hope that Moore is still here. After what he's done I can see other teams coming in for him.

Nice words Belmont, today for me, signals the end of a 5 year nightmare for us, I'm sure Ronnie will stay and I just know he'll get shot of players who a ) should have gone 2/3 years ago and b) should never have been singed....I don't need to tell you Ronnie is a good manager, when the inquest starts you have to question the decision to let him go......For us, the
Biggest lesson has to be, get a cheap young manager in at your peril

Come down our house & have a few pints of cider.I recorded Soccer Saturday
Are you really celebrating Mr Seston ( I know it's seaton) ? I'm just relieved and a bit angry if I'm honest, our worst season for 30 odd years, I'll open a bottle when I see the back of Flinders Austin and the rest of the no hopes

You definitely should be celebrating. It may have been a poor season on the whole but Ronnie's new regime have done unbelievably well and if you can take the momentum into next season you'll be top seven.

With regards to the comment that we should have kept Ronnie, although it was harsh the way he was sacked, he admitted himself that he'd become complacent with not attending training and there's a good chance we'd have been relegated under him anyway. It was probably time for a change and maybe it was the motivation he needed to get back on top of his game.

On the subject of Jeff Stelling, his summary of our achievements when announcing that we were relegated bought a tear to my eye. Kept it proper respectful as well considering he probably wanted to jump around the studio like a mad man.

The only reason they are staying up is that we have a team for the most part of gutless bottlers who are only at Prenton Park for a wage packet led by an ego maniac with the footballing tactical brain of a half cooked cabbage. I can`t wait for Saturday to come so I can spend 90 minutes hurling abuse at our so called players (something I wouldn`t have done when there was a chance of the losers actually winning some games and staying up. Fat chance) and waving the entire bunch farewell as they head into the Birkenhead sunset never to return.

Angry....you bet I am

Has Hugill been playing well?

Ironic that he scored the goal that relegated Tranmere.

I think you'd get two very different reports from us and the Hartlepool lot. For us he looked slow, lazy, half arsed and probably wouldn't have scored if I'd been at Prenton Park for the whole season. For Hartlepool I've heard he was the polar opposite. Could be because he'd only just returned from injury or maybe an indication of Micky Adams v Ronnie Moore's motivational ability, probably the latter considering the way the rest of the squad played the last three months.

Yeah, Moore has been a revelation there. It was always going to take Hugill a while to re-find his sharpness though after 5-months out following a knee operation.

At Hartlepool he sounds more like the pre-injury Hugill we saw at Deepdale, I liked the look of him.

Not the quickest or most agile like you say, but for a loan player to show the graft, desire and fight for HUFC like he did is phenomenal.

Strong, powerful and a good first touch - would love to have him back.

Hugill 2015 sounds like a Hartlepool version of Jake Cassidy late 2012. Comes to work under Ronnie on loan and he gets the best out of him.

Of course I celebrated. It was a massive achievement by Moore to get these losers to safety
Also celebrating a brighter future under Moore,he'll scatter the deadwood & probably be able to attract some good players here.
All his signing's Morgan apart have been excellent
It's a long time since I've seen Pools grafting /bullying the opposition & I liked it.
Roll on next season.
