The one thing with FatBoy is , he is interesting! Whether he's speaking with a forked tongue in interviews, losing half his lunch whilst screaming obscenities at match officials, or running down the touchline with half is body weight on display he's never dull.

He's a vile man, he's thoroughly disliked in footballing circles, and more so amongst supporters, he's successful when given money, he has a questionable and colourful past but he's never dull. I wouldn't want him anywhere near the world's oldest professional league club, and if he was appointed (rumours were abound not too long ago) I wouldn't attend Notts games whilst he was in charge , but that's a personal preference. Most fans are more than happy to put up with it, ignore it, accept it, as long as it means promotion! And its hard to argue with that tbh.

Above all he's embarrassing whether its in post match interviews, or more commonly and to a much higher degree his antics during the 90 mins on the sidelines.

He’s also been successful without money, it’s a myth that he’s only done well when backed heavily.

The only positive thing I can say about him is he’s a good manager, although to be fair he’s been poor so far this season.

He'll get the Stags promoted this season (as he should with the level of recruitment and once again a generous chairman's financial backing) so the vast majority of Staggies will be very happy with that.

The good thing for home fans is FatBoy is on the far side of the pitch so you don't have to hear the disgusting things he shouts at officials/players ("break his f****** legs" was the worst I ever heard him shout to one of his players regarding an opposition player.... he shouted it more than once, just to make sure the message got across and everyone heard..... what a lovely fat man?!)

Other fans of clubs he's managed haven't been so fortunate.

From an entertainment perspective him and Raynor on the touchline are pretty good.

I don't think he's anything special as a manager. He buys decent players and gets them up for a scrap, but there's nothing tactically innovative or wonderful from a coaching perspective.

Our league position should be better but there's still a lot of football to be played.

I have no qualms with Evans' antics if it doesn't influence refs. I'd say that most of the time it doesn't, but there are still weak refs who will be scared of him. On Tuesday it was clear from the first few mins that the ref wasn't going to stand for it and it was inevitable he was going to be sent off.

Raynor is worse in my view - he reminds me of the assistant coach in American Pie who basically just repeats what the head coach says. At least you can understand Evans losing his rag, he's the manager so has the most to lose. Raynor just looks like some special case who's won a prize to sit on the bench with the manager, and takes it a bit too seriously.
