Favourite Rivalries in Football

I created this thread on the original TFF, why not bring it back?

I fell in love with the North London Derby after the 2-1 Spurs win. Was a great game for me.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona is a lot of people's favourites. Not mine, I still love to watch it though as there isn't many games that exceed the level of this one.

Universitario vs Alianza is my favourite Rivalry of all time. Mostly because it involves my team. If I wasn't from Peru, I probably wouldn't care in all honesty but I love watching these matches regardless.

Boca vs River is my second favourite. Its the Real Madrid vs Barcelona of South America. Obviously the level is nowhere near as high but its the biggest and most well known rivalry. in South America.

Lastly, while Napoli vs Roma isn't a well known rivalry, the 2 teams don't exactly like each other. Its always a fun match to watch. The last one wasn't great but the 2-0 Napoli win a few months ago with an Higuain beauty was a cracker of a match.

Sunderland v Newcastle was a fantastic derby atmosphere whilst I was at Uni but Grimsby v Lincoln is naturally up there as well.

My favorite is Brazil vs Argentina national teams. The atmosphere is one of the most competitive I've felt.

Homer vote for the North London Derby being the most consistently entertaining derby in club football. Look at the fixtures in the last decade and 75% of them were cracking matches.

Schalke vs. BVB is usually ace, too. I wish I had more access to watch the likes of Boca vs. River Plate.

More of an accessibility issue rather than a time zone issue. Via NBC, I can watch every single Premier League game live or stream prior matches whenever I like. (There's actually a pub nearby that reguarly sees crowds of a few hundred people to watch weekend morning Premier League action; it's worse on El Classico days and Boxing Day saw something like 600-700. Drinking and watching footy as soon as you wake up is actually quite brilliant.) Bundesliga and La Liga each have television deals in place. Serie A and Ligue 1 used to be more accessible, but I can still catch a few of each. The Mexican League is televised on most of the hispanic channels around me, so I'm stuck with dodgy streams if I ever want to watch South American footy.

A quick google has just revealed there is an American YouTube channel featuring games from Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. I've been fucking up.

Derby's aren't the same anymore. Might not be a local one but in the early late 90s/early 00's the Arsenal/Man Utd rivalry was right up there. I used to always watch Celtic v Rangers as the atmosphere is always outstanding.
