I was merely commenting that the Glazers also just wanted a club to run their own way. May be run in completely different ways but I dont really give a shit about that. Couldn't care less what either Man Utd or FCUM do, they both mean nothing to me, and probably the same for most other fans.

Agree with the sentiment here, clubs from Manchester are totally irrelevant to me, regardless of what they are called. I live in the West Country and support my local team, rather than glory hunting elsewhere, so a complete ambivalence to anything with Manchester in the name shouldn't be much of a surprise. However, there is a bit of a parallel that will surely be recognised by some supporters on here, those who follow clubs that were reformed after the original went to the wall. In the case of FC United the original club remained as one of the largest in the World, but I am guessing that in their eyes due to the involvement of the Glazers their original club was effectively dead to them. At least they started a club from scratch and put their money where their mouths were, rather than buying up a club that was struggling as happened with MK Dons, so because of that they must be due some respect.

Having watched FCUM a few times over the years (including the FA Trophy game at Chorley this season) I've got nothing but respect and admiration for them. Not to mention their ethos and community work.

Congratulations FC United

They'd have a torrid time of it in the Conference National or whatever it'll be called by that time.

No idea whether to charge £10 or £17 in, boycotting almost every away ground for their ticket prices, BT moving kickoff times, stewards that aren't 12-year-olds with "response team" written on the backs of their vests in biro, constant fines for letting off smoke bombs, dealing with fanbases of more than 200...

I've heard one or two of them say they never want to reach the football league which is very tinpot. They might get drowned out by all the
bankrolled teams in the Conference but it'd be good if they continued to be proactive in the face of these things.

More likely they'll boycott it over the £15 admission.
Only if your crummy club increase admission prices for fc visit

The only people that actually like FCUM are the people that have never had to play them.

Their attitude and arrogance is unbelievable.

Oh and the fact they shat all over the principles they started the club on at the first sign of a bit of cash.
And yet more nonsense from Halifax...when will it end from you lot

Did you say you would never move a game for TV... and then move a game for TV for some money? Yes or no.

The club did say that. Therefore going back on one of their principles that they love to bang on about. What's the point to a protest club that does what it protests against :ffs::dk:

..You're missing the point (deliberately I suspect ) We fans/owners as a collective agreed to the day change to help us finance our shiny new home....not a Mr Big.....that was five years ago and as Karl Marx probably didn't say "sometimes you have to eat shit"

They all do eventually. If they didn't, they wouldn't make money... if they didn't make money they wouldn't exist. Corinthian-Casuals are the only club in the country founded (or merged) with principals that they have retained.

Perhaps, but it's a shame their principle of never switching a kick-off time for the TV went out of the window the very first time they were asked to switch a kick-off time for the TV.

Congrats to FCUM. Looking forward to our pre-season friendly on 11th July - some of the help your chiefs have given us in terms of advice on starting up again has been massively appreciated.

I also do not get the dislike? I went when we played at theirs in the FA Cup a few years back. Really enjoyed the day out and had lots of good banter/chats in the pub with their fans. Seemed a decent bunch, to me.

For me the Dislike of FC United of Manchester stems from the general dislike, hatred and jealously that many hold towards Manchester United.

Well done to FCUM on getting promoted, have great memories of travelling to Gigg Lane with Stocksbridge Park Steels in a cracker of a game and enjoyed their first visit to Bracken Moor also.

Good luck next season !
