When Charlton allowed us to have a trophy presentation on their pitch last season, it was a memory I will treasure forever and we were very grateful to Charlton for the way they received us.

However I can understand how the prospect of seeing that for a second consecutive season, after a successive season of struggle and in this case actual relegation, must be pretty bloody unpleasant. And I think any fan base would be protesting given what Charlton are going through, and the contempt with which the ownership seems to hold the fan-base. Must of us have been there or at least somewhere near with an owner at some point in our history.

The question I'd ask is, are Charlton's owners like Aston Villa's in their non attendance? Never anywhere near a match and thus have no idea that the supporters are baying for blood with protest marches and banners every week? Or will there be somebody from the Duchatelet clan around to actually see the protests and give it a chance of changing something?

CEO Katrien Meire is at every game, Roland himself has not been to a game since October 2014.

Unfortunately, Meire is simply deluded and a compulsive liar and it seems as though she is feeding Roland utter bollocks -

http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/73039/more-delusion-only-200-protesting-according-to-roland

As for the game on Saturday, CARD have announced there are no plans to get the game abandoned (doesn't mean it won't if other fans decide to do something that will cause this).

As I said earlier in the thread, I don't think it will get abandoned but I would expect a lot of lengthy delays, the fact it's on TV will only encourage more demonstrations.

Just fuck off.

I know you're a wum and I shouldn't bite but you've repeatedly been asked to back up your point of view by various members which unsurprisingly you've failed to do.

You may well be a wum but the future of Charlton isn't a fucking joke to me so either wind it in or do one.

If protesting hasn't worked so far, what makes you think it will work now? Idiot.

Fuck off you ignorant fuck.

It took us 8 years to save our club last time but we did it. Do your research on the club you supposedly support and come back, while you're at it you can come back with answers for why you support the current regime, but of course you have none.

Desireless Charlton fans that lack bottle are currently staging a sit down protest, blocking both entrances to the main car park, cars of club officials unable to get in.

If anyone wants to listen to the propaganda, here's what you should know instead:

Contrary to reports, he doesn't choose what players to buy and doesn't tell the manager who to play. Is it not the scouts fault for picking out crap players instead? At least he's spending money unlike the last owner who made us rely on freebies.

The management changes have mostly been at the right time, Powell went as we were 23rd in the league at the time, which was cause for concern and something needed to be done. Why people can't see that I don't know. Luzon could have been given more time before being sacked in October. The only managerial disaster they made was to appoint Fraeye as caretaker, utterly useless and out of his depth.

People aslo hate Roland as he's employed a CEO who they see as being unable to do her job. She said fans are customers and they have no ownership of the club. This is a correct statement imo. Why should fans feel a sense of ownership of a club when they don't have an shares within it? Secondly, yes we are customers. Everything which involves a monetary transaction means you're a customer, you can't argue against it. She also has a senseless song made up about how she's a slapper. Our moronic "fans" are stooping to a low low level, they'd fit in better supporting the c*nts down the road.

I think people only hate them as they are foreign, hence the chants of "you Belgian wankers, get out of our club".

Loyal fans will be there through thick and thin and back the team and whoever runs the club, but there's more to life than football.

Also the fact you got relegated quite easily won't exactly help their cause..

No owner is going to be popular then!

Are you saying Charlton fans are racist?

Maybe some fans just wish there was more stability in terms of the manager and players.

Fans do think they are very much part of the club because they are loyal and support the team throughout..

We got relegated as the players didn't try at all between December and March, nothing to do with Roland there.

It's not racism, it's Xenophobia ;)

They don't, they want him out regardless of how damaging that would be the club in the short term future.

But they shouldn't go into uproar when an accurate description of them is said.

Are you Roland? I can't fathom another reason why you're so supportive of him.

Weeks you've had to come up with suitable counter-arguments and you come out with this old tripe.

1) Yes he does. There is no reason to not believe what Chris Powell has reiterated several times. Jose Riga has resigned today for similar reasons. I take it you're also not aware that Roland has his own network of scouts, so blaming them or him is much the same.

2) Ridiculous comment. Backed up by the fact that we have just been relegated to League One. Katrien really has got you sucked in hasn't she? How can the managerial changes be correct and well timed when we have regressed so badly and ultimately lost our Championship status?

3) Simply Wow. If you believe that then you truly are weird (not unique, just fucking weird) if you seriously don't know the difference between being a fan of a football club and a customer then there really is no hope for you.

4) I'm not sure this point even needs addressing to be perfectly honest. It's a stinking pile of shit.

5) Loyal supporters will do all they can to protect the club they love. Again, you show exactly how ignorant you are. After everything Charlton fans have been through and done over the last 25 years, I have no idea how you have the audacity to call their loyalty into question. The fans boycotting are not turning their backs on Charlton, just the regime. These fans will be out in numbers at away games supporting the team. There is more to being a loyal fan than just buying a season ticket.

One thing that irritatates me is that when you guys protest (well not Lamby, he's in the minority I suspect) you get loads of media attention; and we protest against our owners we either get 1) no coverage, or 2) completely slated for it. :sna::mad::mad:

Our first protest was in November, we didn't really start to get any real media coverage until late February and then properly after the televised game against 'Boro in March.

I can't believe I'm going to agree with Lamby ffs but you released a chicken on the pitch once. Despite what that Derby bloke earlier in the the thread thinks and exactly as TomPNE says, our protests are sustained every week and will continue into next season. I believe CARD are already planning on getting the first home game abandoned should the club still be under Roland's ownership.

Although, I do remember you getting a fair bit of media attention back in the 'Kean Out' days.

Not for you, course it isn't, but that doesn't mean that they are wrong to protest, does it?

All negative media attention though; mostly down to the fact Kean and all the Soccer Saturday presenters had the same agent. Nothing positive was said about thousands of fans marching to the ground holding banners and placards. Nothing positive about the peaceful protests after games in the stands.

Oh, and it was two chickens in two separate games ;)
