So here we are, final games of a very long season:

Barrow v Wrexham
Braintree v Altrincham
Bromley v Aldershot
Cheltenham v Lincoln
Chester v Gateshead
Dover v Forest Green
Guiseley v Torquay
Halifax v Macclesfield
Southport v Kidderminster
Tranmere v Grimsby
Welling v Borehamwood
Woking v Eastleigh

A few permutations but in briefest possible terms:
At the top:
A win or draw for Braintree sees them in the play offs, however should they lose and Tranmere beat Grimsby then Tranmere will snatch 5th place.
Should Braintree lose and Tranmere fail to win, then an Eastleigh win at Woking by 2 goals would see them snatch 5th instead.

At the bottom:
Altrincham need to win at Braintree to have any chance of avoiding the drop, and then pray to the football gods that Halifax lose to Macclesfield and Guiseley lose to Torquay which would keep Alty up.
Should Halifax lose and Guiseley draw, then Altrincham need to win at Braintree by 2 goals, which would keep them up on level goal difference with Guiseley, but Alty staying up on goals scored.
Meanwhile Guiseley will stay up if they win, and either Halifax or Borehamwood fail to do so.
Guiseley could also stay up with a draw, if Halifax lose and Alty do not win by 2 goals.
Halifax definitely stay up with a win, and a draw will be enough if Guiseley fail to win.
And finally Borehamwood stay up with a win, and a draw will be enough as long as halifax and Guiseley do not both win.

I think that's covered everything of note. :)

It has only just dawned on me that kick-off is 5.30pm!

Our match is meaningless, but Wrexham fans usually cause a bit of a stir at our place so it should be a decent match-up.
Chairman is over from the US, and I'm almost certain there'll be some kind of announcement about players signing on for next season.

At the top, think Braintree are going to get the point they need for the play-offs.

More interesting at the bottom, where I can see Borehamwood, Halifax and Guiseley all wining

NL North, Boston in the final play-off place have to match Nuneaton too stay there. Their trip to Stalybridge looks tougher than Nuneaton's home to Hednesford. At the bottom, Lowestoft and Brackley both have home games to decide the last relegation place.

NL South, key last play-off slot clash between Hemel Hempstead and Whitehawk, with the hosts needing a win to make 5th. A draw will do the visitors, unless Dartford win by 5 goals at St Albans, who need points to avoid the drop. Havant and Waterlooville at home to Weston super Mare look to have an easier game than Margate's trip to Bath.

I'm going to Tranmere. Glad it's, barring miracles, the last game of the season, as I haven't enjoyed this season at all. That's not so much a reflection of the level Rovers are now at, more the rubbish football we've been playing.

Forgive me for concentrating on the top, where the only issue decided in the play-off race is that FGR have finished second, however it is still uncertain who we will be playing or what order the teams will be in.

I tried to work out who might be playing who but the different permutations made my brain ache. Suffice it to say that Forest Green and Grimsby will probably avoid each other, at least until the final, unless a really bizarre set of results sees the Mariners drop to fifth. Either team could face Dover, Braintree, Tranmere or Eastleigh, though some of those teams need most of the others to lose to give them a chance.

I think we're more likely to play Grimsby given the fixtures. They will lose at Tranmere, who need the win, and if they do, Dover just need a draw at home to us (quite likely), and Braintree to beat Alty (quite likely) for The Mariners to drop below both.

So think we'll be heading oop north on Wednesday.

Scotty B's gonna get that promotion train rolling, as our UNSTOPPABLE MOMENTUM returns. I'd be getting worried if I was a fan of the other 3 clubs, now our squad can really show what they're capable of.

I'm in Dover. Have 5 hours to kill before the game. Shit.

Kind of a pointless game in many aspects, but will be interesting to see how we play. Hopefully we'll win 8-0 and scare the shit out of everyone.

Now, time for lunch, where's good in Dover?

Maccy D's, Nandos, Spoons. Everywhere has at least one of them.

Only pub I've been too is The Cricketers Arms which is next to the Rugby Club down the hill from the ground. Was decent. Will be heading there when I get there later for a pint or ten.

It would be great banter if Braintree lose, Tranmere don't do whatever they have to do and Godfrey Poku scores a 90+4' consolation off his backside to make it 2-1, thus denying Eastleigh Hobby Club from the play-offs.

Opted for spoons in the end. £9.18 for two meals AND a drink each.

I'll see you there. Going up the cliffs now.

I'm going to document my day if that's okay with you guys

to celebrate our shit season

The one thing I don't like about Woking doing well is the increase in expectation levels. We're still a part-time side with a 300k budget. We might well finish in the top half today. If we don't, then with our resources we should be aiming to finish somewhere between 13th - 18th, and that's without the nightmare injuries we've suffered this season.

We can't get complacent. Today could be the last time GH and ST are in charge of our football team. And if it isn't, we will, eventually, turn rubbish again - that's football. Enjoy today, enjoy what we have, because it could well be the end of our honeymoon period.

Final swansong for us, hopefully we'll be back sooner rather than later.

Come on Eastleigh, alty, and grimsby, would love Eastleigh in the play offs, want to avoid Dover and tranmere. I expect us to win today.

Agree totally, if it is Eastleigh then I can probably make it to the game, if it is any of the other possibilities then it is at home with BT Sport!

I need us to win so I can make the home leg on the weekend, but I think we'll be playing a shitehouse team because Hurst isn't arsed where we finish so wouldn't bet much against a Tranmere win.

Which numpty came up with the 17:30 kick off time? That's past my bed time (Thai time). Ah well, won't lose any sleep over it.

Last game in non-league again for at least another 16 months.

It's been emotional, and I have genuinely loved every minute. Leaving in 10 mins to get the first one in and celebrate the lifting of the God awful trophy that is now my avatar.

There's a fairly decent pub, The Cricketers (I think) right next to the Crabble if you've got time to kill.

Also...what is a Crabble? Is it a Kentish pronunciation of Crab Apple?

Still, the best conferemce ground name since The Dripping Pan.

So Hurst has gone for the clusterfuck option of a squad: we've got our 38 year-old goalkeeping coach in goal, a left back in centre defence, a centre mid who was wiped off the face of the earth and and no Amond in the squad.

Holman will score two today to complete many of our fans misery today.

Our team is pretty much as expected, some players rested and a couple on their way back from injury don't feature. The only surprise is a debut in midfield for Joe Stokes, one of Scott Bartlett's academy players, considered a bright prospect for the future.

Don't particularly want Braintree to come up, don't particularly want Altrincham (at the expense of Guiseley) to stay up... Not sure who I'm rooting for here.
