Don't call me mate. I'd never wish your association on anybody. Even Stoke fans.

Don't have a great deal of knowledge on League 1 but I'm going with

1.Sheffield United
2.Peterborough United

Promoted via play offs will be Wigan beating Swindon

Bottom 4:
21.Colchester United
22.Coventry City
23.Crewe Alexandra
24.Blackpool

Question for Blackpool is will there so called 'fans' allow them to play a full game. They weren't even allowed to finish against poor old Lancaster...

7th

FIRTHY and Y Borth have it about right for us.

Mid table obscurity. Yeah, we've lost some good players, we've also made some good money, which other club at this level has had 4 players go for the money that Cooper, Doyle, Clucas and Darikwa have this past year. We're talking nearly 4 million up front with decent sell ons.

We still have good players in the side, Tommy Lee, Sam Hird, Evo, Morsy, Ebanks-Blake to name a few. Maybe Chris Eagles coming today if rumours are to be believed.

We'll be nowhere near the bottom 4 let alone bottom.

Bookmarked for end of season.

We've been predicted to come anywhere from 1st - 21st.

I think we'll be towards the lower end of that to be honest.

-Very hard to see the bottom four not struggling IMO.
-Sheffield United under Adkins should win the league.
-Wigan with the squad they have should be top six.
-Bradford IMO have enought to mount a serious promotion challenge.
-Rochdale under Keith Hill are my dark horses for this year - underestimate them at your peril.
-Justin Edinburgh has also got an impressive young side who might do well as well.

Dunno if we'll be promoted but after being ambivalent about our chances a few weeks ago, I'll be disappointed if we don't finish top six now. I suppose it depends on Harris's plans for the youth this term, etc.

I like that everyone is underestimating us. I think we're much stronger than last year

Put that "Firthy's Official Bradford City Football Club Player Salaries & Coral Windows Stadium Attendancies" book down and have another look at your prediction.

Too much effort putting every team in. Think we'll miss out on playoffs. Not a chance in hell we'll make automatics.

From the outside I can see why people are tipping us to struggle. Got rid of Pope, Williamson and Marshall.
What you can't really understand unless you've watched us is why we struggled last season.
To put it in to context, Pope scored 12 goals last season, hardly record breaking, and his legs have gone. Williamson scored 9 I think but never in a million years is he a footballer and 3 of his goals were against lower league opposition.
Marshall is the one we might miss the most however he was terrible February onwards.
Our reason for struggle last year is that we couldn't keep a clean sheet. We were literally having to score at least 2 goals to get anything. We've significantly improved in this area in my opinion.
We've also kept our best player and enhanced our midfield with foley (Yeovil multi player of the year award winner) and grant (best outfield player at crewe). I realise these teams were poor last season but it's like getting the best players from top league 2 teams. We've also got Kelly who looks like Marshall with more of an end product and andoh who's an unknown quantity to every other team but he's rapid and skillful.
It would surprise me to be honest if we struggled and if we did our chairman would look to bring in some new faces . The only worry I have is our manager who made some disastrous decisions at the end of last season and keeps faith in players that are proven not good enough.
I don't think we're anywhere near play offs but I think we'll be comfortable mid table, there's at least 8 weaker squads with less depth than ours

We are always predicted to struggle (despite only 1 bottom half finishes in 7 or 8 seasons I believe excluding the admin season when points wise we earn enough to have finished in the top half).

Our strikers did poor last season so our replacements will be no worse. Williamson is dreadful and didn't score from January onwards, Pope is crocked all the time and found out at this level now and we've improved the defence.

The league was poor last year, but it's weaker this year there's no Bristol City/MK/PNE breakaway type teams likely so if our weaker side last season stayed up and indeed challenged for the top six on and off up until March then our improved side should do better,

I don't worry about the bookies and predictions though as we've been laughing in the faces of them for seasons now and even won promotion against expectations to drop. In June I thought we'd struggle but the business we've done since has lifted Burslem and I expect us to have a solid but unspectacular campaign.
