Old Trafford, FA Cup 94-95 season.

I was 8. I don't remember too much about the game apart from when we took the lead through Kieron Durkan and the player bowing "we're not worthy" at the end to our fans.

Old Trafford 1989 or 90 or something like that. It's been downhill ever since.

I guess its the opposite for me, the first away ground I visited was Woking....

I remember an FA trophy tie in the late 80s between Altrincham and Fisher Athletic, which was eventually decided on the 3rd replay. Seems hard to fathom these days doesn't it?

I can remember one game in the FA Cup back in the late 70's between Arsenal and Sheff Weds that went to a 5th replay I think.

I think it was Edgeley Park, Stockport in the early 60s. We had a part time striker called Gary Talbot, who became our leading scorer. We were winning 4-1 at h/t, but Stockport got it back to 4-4 before we got a late winner. That was the best it got for a long time.

Stockport County on a tuesday night. Absolutely freezing, and was also a drab 0-0. No tubas were damaged, though. Think the first Rovers game at home I went to was also against Stockport.

To watch Tranmere, it was probably the Vetchfield when I was at college in Swansea. However, it didn't really feel like an away game, as I'd watched the swans there a number of times already.

Sealand Road, there's a blast from the past. I can remember us losing 1-0 there one season to the most blatant offside goal you will ever see.

I remember that we had to walk along the terrace behind one goal which was unused and really badly overgrown to get to the side stand where we were housed.

Aww saltergate now there's a few memories! Can remember us scoring there one time and a load of us jumping up the segregation fence there!

Sorry to gatecrash , but as a Poolie , like most, Darlo away. FEETHAMS was a fantastic lower league ground in a fantastic location, only the entrances let it down, home fans had to walk around the cricket pitch and away fans had to not only walk around the ground but also one of the biggest supermarkets in the north!

That was the Spion Kop. We used to be able to stand at one end of that at half time and watch the A team game on the adjoining pitch which was known as the Annexe. Happy days

Been to Feethams a few times as well, remember walking down a cobbled lane to get to the away bit, some cracking boozers not far from the ground as well. Remember being there in '98 and us getting a very late leveller through Dennis Bailey that led to us getting automatic promotion the follwong week after beating Brighton.

The daft thing was that nutty owner of theirs Reynolds started doing up feethams by building that new stand then built a new ground, complete idiot!Should of just redeveloped feethams and they might still be a league club, what a prat!

Aye that's the one.. Reynolds was on an ego trip , they had a 3500 all seater stand up and running , all they had to do was stick a roof over the terrace and they would have had one of the best Kops in the country. They could have had a 12000 odd proper ground and been bouncing about L1/L2 for a fraction wasted on the new stadium, if it makes you feel any better Reynolds is skint and has spent more time in jail.

I think it was Sixfields in the season we were relegated from league 1, 98/99. We won 2-1 to give us some hope, then we followed up by beating Preston at home 3-2 before my 2nd away game at Notts County saw us draw 1-1 but a win elsewhere for Oldham sent us down for the first time in our history.
