Is it true the boxing day / new year fixtures are a reversed local game???

Indeed it should, as confirmed already by DSL. Pick your nearest opponent/rival and hope that you are paired with them. In our case it has traditionally been someone like Kiddy or Newport, however this year we are the nearest opponent for Torquay...oh dear!

Given that we had Barnet for Boxing Day/NYD last season and Eastleigh will probably get Woking I have a feeling we will end up with Boreham Wood. Hopefully we get Woking for the August/Easter bank holidays though

I would love us to get Altrincham or Macclesfield. I would love Chester or Wrexham but cant see that happening!!

I would say that normally you'd be paired with Southport but I don't think Cheshire/North Wales Police will want Chester vs. Wrexham taking place over Christmas and New Years, so chances are you'll get one of the 4 teams mentioned in your post.

There's a rumour there is a picture going around on Twitter with the first day's fixtures on and that we have Lincoln away. I can't find it and I can't verify it, but we'll know tomorrow anyway.

Our Co-owner said today that the Wrexham games are looking likely to be bubble matches! I think it could be a fun day but what are the Wrexham, Chester fans experience of them??

Really hope not, no doubt it will be just for us and not them.

That happened last year as well and it turned out to be a fake that someone had just made up, so don't read too much into it!

Delighted to be welcoming Tranmere to Non-League football on the opening day. Nothing will announce their arrival like a home defeat to us. :box::woo:

We have Cheltenham at home first up, tough match to start for us but they all have to be played at some point. Interesting to note we have the Cods early at home again for the second season running and our Boxing Day/NYD games are against Halifax.

Tranmere Boxing Day (H) & NY (A), happy enough with that. With Chester away in between. Much better than Grimsby & Bristol Rovers away inside 3 days of each other last season!!

Lincoln on boxing day/NY is sure as hell an improvement on Gateshead!

Although does seem odd that we've got Lincoln and Grimsby have Guiseley...

I would guess that is because Lincoln have requested to avoid Grimsby on NYD/Boxing Day as they did last season.

Quite a tough start for us, you were unlucky not to make the play offs last year

That's right. Waiting for the Grimsby fans to yet again post asking why are we losing money by wanting the fixture switch. We got better attendances over the games last season against Grimsby and the Boxing Day game against Alfreton, so the club made the right decision.

Away to Kidderminster to start with, could be a lot worse, glad we're starting away and we have a run of games that we should be winning, although once again we have a bunch of the newly promoted teams early on which didn't go so well last season.

Looking at the whole picture we only have two tricky periods; starting mid-September we have Chester, Tranmere, Wrexham, Southport and FGR. Then at the end of the season we have Wrexham, Macc, Cheltenham, Eastleigh, Dover, Chester and Tranmere. That is a hell of a run in and I hope we're not miles away and desperate for points by that stage.

Other than that, the fixtures on a whole look pretty good. Torquay away on my birthday weekend for the second year running and Tranmere away last game of the season look particularly tasty.

Cheltenham our longest Tues night trip as it stands, so not too bad.

Though one of our derbies with Alty is a Tuesday night again for some strange reason. The opposite to last season though, we're home on the saturday this time.
