Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory. Great selection as that same album CD from 2000 is played on my sound system from time to time.

Aye Hybrid Theory was one of early albums I bought, great album that. In fact the only album I bought before that was a pop rock one called 'It Goes Without Saying' by the DumDums. That was a great album as well. Like Dave, it's more the first single I bought that's embarrassing. :D

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
This was the first single I ever bought in 79. I was 9 and on holiday in Brid at the time. It got to no1, but wasn't their best imo. It's a about a 16 yr old girl in America that gunned down some school children one Monday morning. It was banned in America.

The first single I bought was Men In Black by Will Smith and I think the first album I got was (What's The Story) Morning Glory, which I still like. Definitely not as embarrassing as it could be.

It could have been Wild Wild West I suppose..

My first album (and I'm old enough for it to have been vinyl) was Chorus by Erasure, which is great.

And my first single was the Rhubard & Custard dance remix. I'll fight anyone who says that's crap.

First single I bought was Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice - I don't even like rap music! Had a few cassette albums and soundtracks bought for me before that though like Jean-Michel Jarre stuff, Star Wars, and House Hits '88!

You obviously had more pocket money than me! :)

I did go on to buy everything they did though. Still got it all somewhere gathering dust!

Yep, I've got rather a substantial pile of 7", & 12" singles and albums gathering dust in the loft. I actually bought one of those turntables recently that you can transfer old vinyl to CD or downloads so I'm going to have to venture up there sometime.
