Kind of content with ours. Home to Fleetwood on the first day, our first ever league meeting with them. Wigan come to BP early season too. Away to derby on the last day of the season.

Stevenage at home for the first game of the season. The rewards of being promoted clearly paying off immediately with the return of total football Evans ball to Sixfields.

Away at Bolton for us, followed by home to Wycombe so a difficult start. Home to Bolton on Boxing Day, Blackpool away on NYD and Portsmouth at home on the final day.

December and January has the potential to be an absolutely stinking two months.

Blackpool away. Get the fuck in.
Sunny day. Plenty of beer, good turnout from us and a last minute worldy from Stockton.
Bring it on.
Then the week after - derby at home.
Dream fixtures

Tricky start overall for us, first four are toughies with three away (Barnsley/Blackpool/Charlton) and Reading at Home.

We have an incredible first day record losing 1 in 20 (the only time we lost opening day we actually got promoted!) so hopefully that run continues at Oakwell.

We also have three aways in the first four.
Crap overall, yet again we have Derby away on a Tuesday night and also the better away games are in midweek.

Anyone know why its showing 3pm kickoffs on the 29th December (which is a Friday)

Blackpool away midweek is probably going to knock some off the away following there even if it’s August. I’ll probably prioritise the Charlton game on the Saturday after that.

Looks a hard start but maybe early on is the best time to play some of these before they kick into gear. Either way we all have to play each other twice at some point so no point dwelling on it.

Now I've had a proper look at it, Cambridge and Charlton home and away on Tuesday nights, is a shame, likewise Northampton midweek. Feels like our closest games are midweeks again.

International breaks (September 9th, October 14th, November 18th and March 23rd) cover our games against Oxford (h), Burton (h), Stevenage (a) and Oxford (a) so potential for moves there.

We couldn’t have asked for a much kinder fixture list to start the season.
Cheltenham (H)
Stevenage (A)
Burton (H)
Lincoln (H)
Fleetwood (A)
Carlisle (A)

Hopefully we’ll go all out guns blazing and get off to a ridiculously good start like we did a few seasons ago now under Hurst. A good start is key if you want to do well, no excuses why we shouldn’t take a good points total from the first 18 available.

Exeter (A) on Boxing Day - FFS!

It doesn't really affect me in as much as I just think, "well that's an iFollow game then" but there's so many better options for this game, it surely wasn't that hard to pick one...

Stevenage
Chelts
Orient
Northampton
Oxford
Reading
B Rovers
Charlton

You'd rather play Stevenage than us? I'm hurt. I agree its disappointing as its nice to have some away fans on Boxing Day..

The fixture computer is having a laugh with our start; Pompey (A), Barnsley (H), Charlton (A)

Derby is going to be a pain for me, fly back from New York overnight Monday into Tuesday morning then from Heathrow... try and get back in time for a power nap then up to Vale Park!

I think Blackpool will sell out, its school holidays so many will use it as an excuse to go, we took loads to Fleetwood that Tuesday night when we won 5-2 in September for instance.

Bristol Rovers and Pompey away 4 days apart is a nasty one!

Glad that we are away from home for all the international breaks, not keen rearranged midweek night time home games.

Stevenage at home, very glamorous. Both managers there will be thinking a good opportunity to get away with 3 points. Wigan first away game, train fares look pretty tasty so that’ll be getting done.

Charlton (A), Pompey (H), Wycombe (A) Blackpool (A) to start. Sensing a UK Eurovision entry’s haul of points in August.

Great night, Louis Dodds scored one of the great Vale goals. IIRC correctly both sides played well but that season we had Pope on absolute fire. We’ve hammered Rotherham 6-2 the week before.
