Stockport County.
He's on a windup, he knows that Challinor and his band of thugs are much more ardent proponents of the dark arts than us so he was merely pre-empting us highlighting their ongoing atrocious disciplinary record. Challinor vs Hurst is about as Evil vs Good as you can get in football.

I wish we dived more though. I also wish we ran the clock down more, as it would mean we weren't forever relying on last minute equalisers/winners!

As for the fixture, we were robbed of the full points last season at Edgeley Park so hopefully the footballing Gods will exert a bit of justice here.
Just going off the games I've seen of him mate. I rate Hurst, he seems great at digging results.

From what I've seen he just seems to have the dark arts down to tee. We all saw what happened on Good Friday, 1-0 up cruising, one team wanting to play football. And then a 50-50 and a Grimsby player is rolling around on the floor and gets Sarcevic sent off to change the game on its head. Fair play, it worked.

Lets just hope there's none of these shenanigans Saturday, Hurst and your team behave themselves and we see a good game.

It really depends which Carlisle turn up. If the team that recently faced Crewe and Newport turn up, it will be a defeat and 3 easy points for Doncaster. If we perform like we did particularly in the second half at Hartlepool last week then we've got a good chance of picking up a point or even nicking the win.

Looking at Doncaster's team, they have more quality and depth than us, but our manager knows how to get results so hopefully that will be enough. Really tough game to predict given how inconsistent our performances have been of late.

Crocombe is a massive shithouse but he's the only one really. Oh and McAtee too but obviously he's not going to playing a part.

It was indeed a 50-50 but Efete went to side foot the ball away and made contact with it whereas Sarcevic bundles in with both feet off the floor, studs up and clobbers Efete's shin half a second late. Clear red. Efete doesn't roll around either, he just stays down. Worth reminding you here if you're massive beast of a CB hadn't done a superb Tom Daly impression at Edgeley Park just as McAtee beats him to a 50-50 ball and executes as lethal a finish as you'll see at that level then we'd have taken 6 points off you last season.

I don't necessarily agree with the notion that you'd have gone on to get anything from that match if he'd have stayed on the pitch anyway. As I said at the time, you had a full defence/midfield on the pitch when Taylor and McAtee pulled you apart for the equaliser and you've gone and left Luke Waterfall unmarked at a corner to nod it across the box for Holohan for the winner. Absolutely unforgivable incompetence from you lot there, just let the probably the biggest set piece threat in the division have a free header and then when you lose your 18 match unbeaten streak it's all "BUT WE HAD A MAN SENT OFF!" Challinor shat the bed by taking Quigley off who was running riot in the first half and while the sending off seemingly changed the tide, we were always gonna come back into it at some point and the goals we scored were nothing to do with the red.

Agree though, hopefully no antics on Saturday a lot of which will depend on whether you can keep your heads and not try to decapitate any of our players.

If yous play the way you did against us, particularly 2nd half you will have no problem.
Having said that we were sound when we beat Donny, Consistency in this league
Seems to be poor, Particularly us.

What kind of threat do Crewe pose; are they about wingers or do they pass it through the lines in the middle of the pitch?

Interesting contrast to the games against Walsall and Sutton who were both extremely direct.

I see Omari Patrick is out for Carlisle for 8-10 weeks… why couldn’t this have happened only a week earlier

It’s just another in a long line of injuries in this season.

Every single fucking week there’s another setback. Who will snap their leg on Saturday?

Oh and reading our injury update it’s not just Patrick. He’s the worst, but he’s one of five injuries picked up in last weekends game.

Well I'm glad you agree.

You coming across/up for it pal?
Couldn't get a ticket mate. Got diddled by not being on Twitter. Club posted on the OS saying that you'd sent 300 more but that sales were suspended because of a postal strike then they posted on Twitter when they'd been received and were back on sale, then they posted a few hours later that they'd sold out. Muggins here refreshing the ticket portal days later thinking "they're taking their time with these additional 300 tickets the bastards". Apparently they went in an hour. Club could have posted on the OS in my defence.

A win at home to Crewe would make it 5 on the spin with a chance to move into the playoffs which seemed a mile off a couple of weeks ago!

Should be a good one. A classic Friday night at Prenton Park

They’re unusually solid at the back for a Crewe side. Very little in the way of attacking intent or patterns of play further up the pitch; mainly try and slip through-balls to CBR who is their only real threat. Their chance conversion is actually pretty high, but they hardly create anything. Don’t think they’ll have much joy against your back line tbh.

Will be an intruiging game against Northampton, contrast of playing styles and both sides have dropped points recently after strong starts.

Wellens said we may need to rotate and manage our players in the coming weeks after playing more or less the same side for the first 12 games.

Idris El Mizouni will likely be out for a few weeks, huge shame as he's fitted into our team well and can play in League One and we have no natural ball player replacement. Jordan Brown and Criag Clay have their uses but they're not natural ball players.

I look forward to us announcing the crowd as 9000 when only 6000 are in there.

We usually win on Friday nights, and expecting the same on this one. 4 wins on the bounce now, and Mellon seems to have settled on a system that works. It may not be pleasing on the eye all the time, but it gets results.

Depending on how many Crewe bring, the crowd should be around 7/7.5 k.
Sold around 700 I believe.

We tend to do awful at Tranmere. We're pretty solid though so I wouldn't expect many goals. We have next to no creativity though unless Morris is feeling ballsy and is willing to chuck one or two of the talented youngsters in, we will either draw 0-0 or as I'm expecting beat 1-0.

Must win for me this. We’ve already failed to beat Gillingham and Colchester and If you want to be in with a chance of staying up these are the games we have to win.

Praying Menayese and Sterry are back in the mix for this because the thought of Murray and Tumilty taking up the right hand side of our defence again scares the shit out of me

Any of you Poolies going? I've been once and it was fucking terrible.

It is a big game like, really important we get a win and i trust the rest of the division will get behind our very noble cause, these posh bankrolled no-marks have no business here in the EFL

Think the Crewe game is going to be a tight one. The visitors have fared a bit better than many expected, since dropping out of L1 and leaving a relatively inexperienced manager in charge. Rovers have been on a decent run. Main decision for us is the forward line, probably starting with Lewis alongside Hemmings and Nevitt on as sub again? Otherwise not expecting any changes unless something cropped up injury wise. Game where a win would cement our recent revival.

Travel to Orient for a tough game. Lost a couple recently, had a sick bug sweep through the squad but Brady said hopefully some will be back for tomorrow.

Sold out the allocation a week or so ago so will be a good atmosphere, the now annual boat down the Thames will be a bit chilly in October.

Only my last two trips to orient we’ve stuck 4 past them so that will happen again.

Orient 0-4 Northampton

The one time visit was enough for me, Boxing day 900+ in the NL days think we got piped 4-0?

Never again.

We’ve got 34 although 9 are first year professionals and have zero chance of making a match day squad and 7 are injured
similar to our squad... just with fewer injuries, and also we have four keepers just because we had two in the academy good enough to offer deals to but not quite ready for either to be our regular sub so we went and got a fourth.

Nope not this time, more often than not they twat us, it’s not the most appealing as I’ve been once before and it’s a soulless shit hole. I’ve recently had a new bairn, and rather change shitty nappy’s than watch Reghan Tumilty attempt to play football again

I’m sad to say that I’m not confident all about tomorrow. I was earlier in the week, but having found out that 5 players from the Hartlepool win have now joined the long injury list, we’re going to be back down to the bare bones and relying on some of the youth team. God knows who’ll play right back as both are crocked.

Taking our injury situation into account, I can’t see anything other than a comfortable Doncaster win sadly.

Carlisle United 0-2 Doncaster Rovers

A very easy win and thoroughly deserved the 3-0 scoreline if not more.

5 games with our best team available, 5 wins & 5 clean sheets…
