Quite quiet today at Brisbane road I thought?

We prefer complaining to singing. The cacophonous Brisbane Road Grumble is being stymied by our lofty league position. A defeat at relegation-haunted Carlisle will surely raise the moaning to more traditional levels.

You can borrow some from us, we’ve plenty to go around

Important 3 points for Sutton, arresting our little run of being (Stevenage aside) on the wrong side of pretty tight games. Good effort considering the injuries we have, shows we hopefully still have enough to get by. Could do with backing it up next Saturday. Should really have found another 1 or 2 in the 2nd half as we passed up some good opps, need to sharpen up in front of goal still but a welcome 3 pts.

I’m worried we now find ourselves on the same points and goal difference as relegation favourites Carlisle, we need to up our game or we look certain for the drop.
If you don’t win next week you’ll be CUT ADRIFT

Did Barrow enjoy their short time with the big boys?

Watched it again, can see why the ref gave it - it was dangerous and a bit out of control and in real time right in front of him too so I can see why he gave it a red. Equally I can see another ref just giving it a yellow, Fox tbf trying to win the ball back quickly but lost a little bit of control of that he was doing.

Really pleased we got a 3rd at our end those limbs are a thing of beauty.

If Bradford score at the Osmond end next week I would expect we will see similar ones.

As I said at the time, clear and obvious yellow. Doubt it’ll get overturned on appeal though.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Ignoring the HG p*stake Carlisle have done remarkable so far and Simpson is going to have to try and ride this wave, he was aiming at a 3 year plan for promotion but the chance is there this season and we now have that ‘atmosphere boost’ that can be very hard to find…..you know the crowd positive for everything and backing you even when sh*t type of vibe.

We seem to have hit some luck from lots of bad luck, a horrible injury crisis has forced 4-5 players as regulars who maybe were not expected regulars at the start and they have pushed on from it, midfield is pretty much first choice but they have 4-5 defenders battling for positions and 3-4 strikers battling for positions each competent at the job.of course I get to my first game next Saturday so expect defeat

I still can’t tell if we are any good or not. We struggle to create many chances but still manage to give away a couple of chances every game. We dominate the ball but not necessarily the opposition. Saying that, we’re 1 point outside the playoffs.

Have Stockport got promoted yet?

Surely they will have won more than they've lost with a squad of their quality..

Surely they've won more than they've lost for a squad of their quality and a manager who is too good for this league..

If they could keep 11 men on the field they'd be top of the league

Stockport County.
Well done to the Grimsby lads, deserved winners. Organised, good pressing in the right areas. and threat going forward.

Ref was a useless twat all day who looked overweight to me but no arguments looking at the Camps video. Shocking challenge.

So that's what a home win looks like. Two wins on the bounce and out of the drop zone. Lovely stuff. Makes the Sunday hangover a bit more bearable.
MOM from Quigley yesterday. I hope we're tying him down on a permanent deal in Jan.

What an absolutely dreadful performance from mansfield, another diabolical performance which walsall really should have got something from the game.

Too slow, no attacking attacking options, akins too isolated

To take into account we’re yet to lose at home, and we’re unbeaten in 7, but we need to up our game.

Improvements needed mansfield, get working!

It was a average performance, (except the first 15 which were superb) but it’s another three points in the bag and personally im feeling very confident about the Stags right now, form says it all.

Nice to see Dale win at home for the first time since 1742. A much stronger team performance against a frankly disappointing Barrow who rarely threatened apart from a couple of dangerous crosses early on, and the traditional (for Dale) late goal from a corner.

Four wins out of five in all competitions... three out of four in the league, and we are finally out of the dreaded bottom two...at least for now.
Jim Bentley is doing a magnificent job with the players Stockdale couldn't get a tune out of, plus Scott Quigley, who is a danger, but still not 100% fit imho.

I think Lewis Young blew his audition for the Crawley job today. After a difficult start to the game Crawley took the lead and grew into the match. When we got the second we were well on top.

Cue subs.

Without Nadersan to keep the Newport defence honest they pushed up on us and we were stuck in our own half. Newport player missed an open goal, they had a mad scramble which I'm not sure about what happened and scored a goal. From being deservedly on top we ended up hanging on and were lucky to win.

Overall, the mood around the players was visibly better and from the kick off it transmitted to the fans. It does make a difference when the fans encourage the team when things go wrong instead of slagging all and sundry off.

We won!

What is James Coppinger’s role at Doncaster now?

The reason I ask is from where I was standing I could see him in the directors box and at full time he stayed in the box and just stared like thunder at the players moping about on the pitch after the match. If looks could kill! Even after the players were down the tunnel he was just watching the fans over the other side, still a face like thunder. Everyone else around him had already left.

I don't know but I had a quick watch of their manager's post match interview and he sounded like such a defeated man I'll be surprised if he isn't sacked soon because with some of the names in their team they should be doing better.

He’s DOF I have zero problem with him in that role but worry that he might be too loyal to ex teammates and that the loony brigade of our support could taint his legendary status at the club

I have zero problem with being beaten by a better team, we are in League 2 it’s going to happen however I do have a problem with the way we are being set up and the week after week of shite performances. I can’t say that I’ve been excited watching us once in the last 2 years.

Being the only team to get beat off Hartlepool says it all really.

I expected your club to be up at the top end of the table if I'm honest.

Your second goal came from an exact copy of those dangerous crosses we had that you reference there. The big difference was an intelligent striker like Quigley knew when to gamble. He played really well yesterday and he looks in the vein of form that made him successful here. I don't think Stockport ever saw the best of him and I believe he is a better player than Wootton. Seems clear that Challinor doesn't rate him.

It’s what the club expects too especially with the squad we have but to be totally honest we’ve completely fucked up with the last 2 if not 3 managerial appointments and it’s as if they are burying their heads in the sand rather than take responsibility and get us out of the shit they’ve put us in

Challinors a shit manager for this level.

How Quigley has been shipped out on loan is unbelievable, when he played up here he had our Championship quality defender in his pocket.
