Cardiff away. As a Wales fan and a resident of the Republic of Wales, I am beyond excited on a number of levels about this draw.
Good draw for you! i remember our first league cup game on our return to the football league, we played brighton away and won 3-1 aet brighton were a championship side then so anything is possible.

True - anything can happen - we took Derby to penalties last season (should have beat them) in the TV match. I'd say as NL Champs away at Cardiff there's a good chance Sutton will be the TV game this year.

away to Sheffield United in the League Cup. Decent draw that.

Got Morecambe, Hartlepool and Everton in the B-team trophy. I don't really care for the trophy but it's quite nice to not have to play Fleetwood.

FGR v Bristol City in Caraboa Cup will be the 1st time that these two fairly local neighbours will have ever met.
I was more than surprised when I was told that news.

1st Game

FGR v Sutton will be difficult game to predict. Sutton usually do well against FGR with Sutton gaining two league wins to one by FGR.

Most memorable game between the two clubs was in 2016-17 when Sutton United [NLS] put FGR [NL] out of the FA Cup on their historic run towards the 5th round.

However FGR now have the advantage that they won their last meet in 2017 (to compensate for FA Cup loss) and have 4 more years experience in the EFL.

If away fans are allowed to attend then I'd say we will take 1000 to Northampton that's probably not a sell out but not many teams bring more than 200. I think we have won there on the last 2 occasions aswell.

Regarding drawing Sunderland in the league Cup it doesn't matter who we get in this competition we always get knocked out in the 1st round. At least playing Sunderland might make it a bigger attendance than we normally get for cup games.
You’ll probably get 1300/1400 or so with the side of the east stand if required
We’re a well attended away ground though due to location

We wont take 1300 or 1400. Im only saying 1000 as that's what we took on the opening day to Bradford 5 years ago so you would think around the same amount would go. We generally only take between 300 to 500 to Northampton normally. It might be limited capacity aswell where they say you can only bring 500 away fans or maybe no away fans will be allowed to attend at all.

We took loads in the promotion season and this isn’t like a normal away game, chance to see the Vale for the first time in 18 months will surely see us sell out and most decent sized clubs around the country should get big crowds, imagine the first home game too will be a big crowd.

Fixture Difficulty from e361

The estimated difficulty of opponents are based on bookies odds, more curious really about how the bookies see the season panning out, as there are no stand-out runs of supposedly difficult or easy fixtures to comment on and there's not much to make any firm predictions about who will challenge at either end of the table. Only Scunthorpe at the moment look in serious trouble and while a few teams have made some eye-catching signings nobody is really assembling a squad that are streets ahead of the others.

Salford, as usual at the top... the bookies expect their investment will come good, and to be fair with not much else to go on might as well place the richest club in the division at the top... but they've proven since coming up that money alone can't get you promoted.

Mansfield still massively fancied. I'm not sure why any more, there was that season they were odds-on before the season began and you'd think the bookies had learned their lesson. Radford isn't even chucking money about any more so I'm not sure why they're where they are.

Swindon lowest of the relegated clubs but still well within the top-half whereas their fans have serious concerns about this season. To be fair these odds were probably put together before McGreal quit.

Champions elect Port Vale way down in 14th... we take the piss out of their fans for celebrating promotion when they win their opening game but still expect them to be more competitive this season.

Barrow have made some really attractive signings, still not enough in the bookies' opinions to rate them higher than crisis club Scunthorpe.

I am extremely confident in saying that Stevenage absolutely will not come bottom. If anything they are my tip to gatecrash the playoffs.

Salford are almost always picked as a default. As always though they'll collect a bunch of big name talent with no idea what they want to do with them (for this level anyway) and go through about 3 or 4 managers over the season.

No idea with Vale, the team apart from a few will look very different next season. Maybe see a sluggish start while figure everything out, our first month is challenging also fixture-wise.

Most teams are very evenly matched and think you'll see the smallest difference between top and bottom yet at the end of the season.

How on earth do the bookies think we will stay up?

We would have gone down last year if the season was a game longer and we've lost our few good players. Our starters this year will be those who couldn't get in ahead of the players that finished 22nd last year.

No chance of Stevenage coming last this year, they've learned their lesson well. Nor Salford top: they get some good players, sure, but overall as a team they've not yet found a way to excel. Barrow with Cooper and the new signings should do very substantially better than last year. Scunthorpe are unfortunately in the shit as things stand, but that could change. I'm not convinced Swindon aren't, either. And you never know what to expect with Oldham: whether their theatrics on or off the pitch will be more dramatic (having played some of the most entertaining football in league two last season one might hope for a continuation, but with that owner....)

All in all (the potential vulnerability of Sutton apart), I don't think the final table will look very much like this at all

agree with that - Scunthorpe don't look in great shape and managed to finish below us last season. The other one who we have no idea about is Hartlepool - they are going to have to recruit an almost new squad - which can either go very well - or very badly... I'm pretty sure Pools fans will say similar and in the end would be happy with the same position we ended up last season (21st) if it came down to it.

A pretty weird table, particularly at the bottom. They don’t seem to credit the teams who’ve done their transfer business early like Barrow. At the other end, don’t see Salford winning the title and until it’s known who Exeter spend their extra cash on, not sure they’ll make top 7.

Notice they've just slotted Sutton into the Morecambe role too. No team has gone straight back down to the conference yet and don't think that changes this season either.

We didn't take loads in the promotion season it was 994. Double what we normally take but not a sell out. I'd expect the tranmere home game have around 7000 there if tranmere bring a thousand.

I think stevenage could be a surprise package top 7 team. Salford are favourites but I dont know what players they have that are any good they just go there for the money and put in average performances.

If we’re allowed to bring more than a thousand then we certainly will be

If the restrictions are eased and we are allowed to travel for the first time since March 19, being a reasonably local away game we will bring well over a thousand
