Is anyone going to start the Crewe - Vale match thread now? Sure it would rumble on until kick off!

We always lose but I'll still go :ffs:

Oldham at home.

Thankfully Blackpool and Wigan are away on Saturdays (new grounds).

All the local derbies away are on Saturdays, Shrewsbury at home on Easter Monday and then Vale away for relegation survival at last day of the season.

Fairly tough start for us but we beat them last season so no reason why we can't do it again

Crewe away be decent, on the positive one of the only sides bookies have to finish below us... On the negative they always raise it whilst we've put in two of our worst performances in against them in the last two years. Coventry away Boxing Day could be good. Odd the reverse opening day fixtures are April!

Fleetwood away first game, thanks!
A lot of fans are happy with Colchester away on Boxing Day but it will get moved to a lunchtime kick off and there will be no trains it's quite shit really much prefer any Saturday at 3

Big news of the day is that Southend home and away games are both on saturdays. Well done fixture computer, you've finally got it right!

Bradford, Rochdale and Fleetwood away on tuesday nights can piss right off though.

You watch, Southend away will get moved to a Friday night for telly. If it stays on a Saturday I will be very surprised.

I think we've lucked out with the fixtures this year given the number of teams from the polar regionwe have to play. Millwall last game of the season will be a cracker.

Can't imagine Bradford will be too chuffed with a schlepp down here on 2nd January.

Pissed off the one team I didn't want on opening day of all days we'll get. When Vale see our midfield of Turton-Jones-Atkinson they'll kill us.

Pissed off Southend away is on a Tuesday Night.

Pissed off Burton away is on a Tuesday Night.

Pissed off we're away on Boxing Day AGAIN however least it's to Rochdale which is closer to my gaff in Manchester than Crewe.

Burton away first day, delighted with that.

Sheffield United just before Christmas and then Donny away on Boxing day is pretty great too.

Pissed off Colchester away is once again on a Saturday, why can't that be our Tuesday Night game?
Erm, it is? Tuesday 24th November, away to Colchester.

We have midweek away games against Burton, Coventry, Southend and Colchester.

Wigan at home followed by Millwall away.

Couldn't have asked for a harder start.

Was hoping for games away to Walsall, Crewe, Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Coventry, Burton or Chesterfield to fall in August whilst I'll be in Birmingham, nothing. Rochdale is the only new ground for me to do next year and it's the week before Christmas which is a pain.

FAO Burton fans - Is the Burton Beer Festival likely to be Easter weekend as I believe Easter falls on the same weekend as the festival earlier this year?

Please say yes.

Gillingham just before Christmas and on the last day of the season seems an odd one. By far our most local and interesting games and yet they couldn't find Boxing Day or a bank holiday for either of them?

Tough start too. Hate playing newly promoted sides so early on in the season. Expect Shrewsbury to humble us.

A bonus for us that we have Bury away as early as August.

Gives us more chance of that fixture happening before they end up in liquidation mid-September.

Vale at home 1st is tasty, Wigan, Walsall, Shrewsbury, Burton, Coventry and Blackpool all away and early in the season is going to kill my bank balance as I'd want to go them all. We have a good end as well, Vale, Oldham and Fleetwood the last 3 away games with Fleetwood looking like a weekend in Blackpool for the last say of the season being great, as long as were not already down.

Swindon, shite first game, miles away against a good side. Probably karma for getting a good first round cup draw.

Blackpool and Fleetwood, our furthest away trips, both midweek. Well done. Also, Fleetwood at home is midweek too - wonder if there'll be a record low number of away fans for that game?
