Evening all. I've spent a little while Googling how the money from TV rights is distributed between the Championship, League One and League Two but I've not been having much luck. Would anyone on here happen to know how much a team in each of the 3 leagues gets? Cheers.

I don't think there's any set fee that gets spread around, is there?

For any Championship game that is on Sky, a home side gets £100,000, and the away team gets £10k. Whether that's the same for League One and Two I do not know.

I'd imagine your best bet is to find a Championship/League One/League Two club for last year and then have a look at their annual accounts. There'll be a break down of TV revenue etc available from within that. Might require some extrapolation and compare a couple of clubs in the same league so you can see how X games on TV makes a difference etc?

Not easy but it'll get your answers!

That might explain why I couldn't find anything...

Looking at a club's accounts is a good shout, I'll give that a go at some point.

I don't think there is any set TV deal in place at the start of each season. As Rammy pointed out, each time a team is on TV then they get a set fee paid to them (to try and cover the loss in gate receipts a TV game may have).

There are other payments that Championship clubs get, £1.7m a year from the FL distribution, which will be less in L1 and L2. Championship clubs also get either parachute payments or premier league solidarity payments.
