JJH try setting 'shoot less often' for your midfielders on player instructions. Maybe 'work ball into box'. Basically stop them from shooting from distance if you can, cos that's probably what it is.

I've failed to put in a title challenge yet again. 3rd in January, 7 points behind United. In good form so I might pull it round, but United are ridiculously good. I'm also losing a potentially world class 19-year-old centre-back for free 'cos I can't give him a guaranteed first team spot. Bums.

Cheers mate - I've sorted a lot of problems, up to 3rd now as well.

Mid-table with Stockport in October.

I think the turnover of players has hampered me so far, so I expect a better second half of the season. Can usually pick up better loans in January.

Right, so I challenged the title with Temuco last season, however we threw it away in the last 2 games losing 5-0 to Audax Italiano and losing 6-2 to Huachipato. Huachipato won the title, and they also won the clausura. Most of our players left because of release clauses. Tried to renew Boselli's contract, he wanted to renew, but Pachuca beat me to it and he's gone now.

Either no on wants to join us, or we don't have the wages meaning a title challenge will be tough now. Just going to aim for top 5 to be honest. I'm going to try and reach Copa Libertadores or Sudamericana. That may attract interest. Also, I wanted to buy a player called Jairinho but Botafogo wanted more than 1M for him, and I didn't have enough. I have a decent transfer budget I need to mention. However, in a twist, they transfer list him and I was able to get him for 2K. Bargain. I also bought Ledezma from a relegated Cobreloa. Don't think its enough to challenge for a title because I have to play them in an accomplished position in order for the tactic to work, but it should be enough for top 5.

I thought about doing this and probably will at some point, do you or does anyone else know if you can apply for under 21 jobs to start off?

I think you can Internationally, but pretty sure you can't at club level.

Nearly won the title. Finished first in the Clausura but I ended up being tied on points with Iqueque so we had to play a playoff. Was 2-0 up then lost 3-2 in the end.

I beat Univesidad De Chile in the Liguilla meaning I think I'm in Sudamericana but then lost 6-0 to Huachipato.

Ended up losing that game against The Strongest. Drew at home and went out. No complaints though as I really just wanted to qualify for a continental competition.

Anyways, just beat Colo-Colo away from home 4-2 in the Chile Cup :D

Right time for a season update.

Currently in March. I finished 6th in the Apertura just narrowly missing out on the top 5. Its really tough to stay consistent and beating the strong teams. It also seems I'm getting all the tough games away from home in one half of the season. I guess there aren't much excuses when you want to win the title, but its difficult either way. I drew The Strongest in Copa Sudamericana. I was thinking it was a winnable game, and it was. However we went to Bolivia first and lost 4-1 despite domination. I was thinking that I could still win, as that was an away game. Went with an overload tactic in the second leg and was 2-0 up in the first half, then they scored a penalty in the second as well as a red card. They score a second, the match ended 2-2 and The Strongest went through. Thing that sucks is that The Strongest lost in the second round to fucking Alianza! So we seriously had a chance. We drew Colo-Colo in the Chile Cup. We won 4-2 away in the first leg and I was thinking that it was over since we were most likely to get a result. We score first in the home leg and then they score 2. They score a third in stoppage time and won on penalties. Really disappointed about those 2 results.

Now the Clausura. I'm currently in second on a good run 2 points behind Huachipato. Huachipato have become ridiculous on my save and I will explain why later in this post. I have yet to play them but I have them at home so good preparation should give me a win. Very winnable game. As you may have seen in the shoutbox, my game crashed when I had 7 points. Thankfully I holidayed until the Union San Felipe game which is where my game crashed and I ended up with 7 points thankfully. Jairinho is gone now, and Mantilla is likely to leave soon also. Ivan Ledezma is going to be the starter now in attacking midfield.

I bought a Bolivia left winger/striker from River for 375K and he's class. Been one of my best players along with Pena, Jairinho before he left and Mantilla. What I need now is a better backline. Nicolas Ramirez is class and so are my full backs but the other center back and goalkeeper could be improved. Saulo is my keeper and he's been important in helping me get here but he's not at the level and if I win the league, I will be in Libertadores. I simply need a better keeper now. Will probably buy one next window as well as a new defender. Hopefully, Mantilla stays so I don't need to buy a right winger.

Now as for Huachipato, I don't know how but they've gone from a regular Liguilla team to the best team in Chile. They have Charles Aranguiz, Ruben Farfan and 2 African regens who are absolute class. They're by far the best team in the league. I don't have a clue how they did it but they're really good now. Hopefully I can take the title from them because they win almost every year now.

My regens are Mesa, Mantilla, Pena, Moreno, Allende, and Pereira

Right, we lost to Huachipato at home 6-3 and that is the end of the title race. What we need to compete

1. Backups. Our backups are shambles
2. Goalkeeper. Saulo is shit.
3. A second defender. Allende and Tello are shit.
4. A right winger. Castro is shit. Mantilla left.
5. Safe release clauses.

A fucking tycoon have taken over at Everton on my game, so now not only are United ridiculous (10 games in, won 8 lost 2, one of those wins being against me. Fuckers) and Chelsea at around the same level as us, fucking Everton are going to start splashing out on players now. I'm hoping I can sell them a couple of players who I could get by without for ridiculous money though, I almost got Barcelona to buy Sergi Roberto back for £84million afterall, they offered 78, I said 84, went to 80, I stuck with 84 and they pulled out. Bastards. Roberto is damned good, but I could replace the guy four times over with that money.

Good luck. I know how it feels. Not a tycoon takeover but Huachipato have become unbeatable on mine :(

Man United have done that for me, knocked me out of the League Cup (admittedly only my reserves, but still), and took 3 points from me at OT ending my 30 game unbeaten league run. Bastards.

I love when players are actually loyal, agent asked for a new contract for him, I told him to sack the agent. Took a bit of persuading to do it, but he's fucked him off. :sb:

I'm genuinely convinced there is no way of getting a result at Catolica.

Time for another season review.

The Apertura last season was horrible. We did alright in Sudamericana but should our form not been so bad as it was, we could have done better. We drew Bolivar in the first round and won 1-0 at home, 2-0 away. Was happy with that seeing as Temuco has never made it to the second round. We then drew Emelec, and drew 0-0 at home, 2-0 away. Would've been ok with that seeing as how Emelec are a good opponent, but we dominated both games and didn't score a single goal. Anyways as for the league. I didn't care much for the Chile cup this time around. Think we got crushed by Huachipato I can't remember. Anyways we did horrible in the apertura. Finished around mid-table and our signings didn't perform.

The Clausura was significant. We almost won the league and I'm extremely disappointed we threw it away at the end. We drew 2-2 at home to O'Higgins and lost 2-1 at home to Iqueque. We had one last chance against U. De Chile, and we drew 1-1. They drew with 10 men with a free kick near the end so that really pissed me off. It was a season of hard work, and I'm proud of some of the results but also disappointed because we couldn't win. We beat Huachipato away from home 4-3 and Catolica 1-0 at home as 2 examples. We started the season in great form but then an underachieving Colo-Colo beat us relatively easy. Audax Italiano of all teams won the league.

I didn't care much for the Liguilla so I just played that without preparation. Qualified for Sudamericana anyways.

Also, finally changed my goalkeeper. Saulo is now a backup. My backups could still be better though.

Had a poor start to the season. Already lost to Catolica, and I'm out in Sudamericana after losing 3-1 at home to Oriente Petrolero and winning 2-1 away. Not enough it seems.

Really hesitant to sell Pena because of his 80 goals for the club but I may need to do so. He gives our team firepower but I have a feeling we need MORE firepower.

Blew the league.

Absolutely blew it.

Won eleven in a row and was four points clear with six games left.

Won one of those six.

Blew it.

Fucking blew it.

Actually fuck that, I'm going to start over as Mansfield. On my last save I took the Burnley job, 3 years in a row just stopping up and it's boring!

How many leagues have people got loaded? I had quite a few to begin with, wondering if I should remove some of them to reduce the chance of my game running slow as I get further in.

I've currently got 24,000 players loaded. Reckon that's too many?

Depends on the computer you have really, specs such as CPU and GPU will be a difference in how much you can load.

My computer is a bag of wank so I only have England loaded to Conference N/S, and I have France, Germany, Italy and Spain on view only for their respected top divisions. I think I originally only had ~8000 loaded. It runs ok but not great, this is on a laptop with specs of:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (x64)
RAM: 4GB
Processor: 2.1Ghz AMD Dual core

See, I've only got 3GB Ram and an i3 processor [whatever that means].

How many years in are you?
