But because it was only a friendly and we are a friendly host, we let you back in the game and even win it. So you could feel good and even make yourself thinking about doing good at the Euro. But because you are England and tournaments (except one) aren't your expertise you were out against the mighty Icelanders and right back on your tiny little island to vote for the EU Referendum (yes, even the unskilled workers of the Three Lions were allowed to vote).

I wasn't quite correct, the Three Lions weren't out of the Euro right in time for the EU Referendum. It was a few days later, so the UK voted out and the Three Lions followed the will of the UK citizens

All the same it is always nice to beat you in Germany.

I liked him although his HSV Days are long gone (later he even played for St.Pauli, sacrilege ). Tbh I still think that his transfer to Burnley was a mistake (nothing against Burnley of course, as one of the founder members of the football league I like the club). He has done great at Karlsruhe but after they failed in the relegation playoffs (thank god) against HSV he wanted the change.
