Quite remarkable. Chuffed for him to be honest.

Wondered what happened to him, always played well against us in the Conference.

Must be frustrating for some keepers, I think Carlo Nash must still be somewhere in someone's reserves for example.

Can be frustrating bastards, goalkeepers. Best one I've seen down at Orient was Paul Heald, who was outstanding, but then went and happily got splinters in his arse for a decade at Wimbledon behind Segers and Sullivan. Never once tried to move, just happy doing fuck-all and picking up the bucks. Lazy twat. Still on the backroom staff at Franchise, I think.

You could have played Tony Bennett in goal and still won.

Good goalkeeper, played an absolute blinder for Hereford on the penultimate game in 12/13 season.

Surprised he has put up with with being 2nd choice for most of his career.

I think he was behind Andy Marriot in that season for us, who was excellent and ended up playing every minute of every game. Bittner was a clear number two and Marriot never got injured or suspended, so he never even got a chance. He dropped down to the conference afterwards and played against us a few times. I think he's a decent conference keeper or number two for L2.

I'd have him over our number one and number two.

Or number two and number two to give them a more accurate description.

He's one of those keepers I've said I'd have here since his performance for Salisbury back in 2008... That was only ever as a #2 though.

Always rated him.

When we beat Hereford 2-1 away to basically set up the conference title, he made some astonishing saves, he was on fire, it only took the magic of matt green to get past him.

Always seemed a good lad (martin shaw - our stags anarack - rates him highly as a person and a player) so pleased it's come off for him
