A relatively simple idea of a game I think can tie us over until the fixtures are out and the season begins in August. Basically we take it in turns to give three clues about a player, and people have to try and guess who it is from the clues, and their player knowledge. Obviously try not to make it too difficult. Whoever guesses correct gets to go next. Obviously try not to use google, unless one is difficult and looking like everyone is struggling.

I'll begin…

1. Began his career at Hillsborough, staying until 2005.
2. Made around a century of appearances for Mansfield Town, over two years.
3. Played as a winger for a handful of northern clubs, including Stockport and Macclesfield.

I hope this works as well as I think it can..

I'll go then.

1. Started his career at Wigan
2. Played a handful of games on loan at Kettering and Mansfield
3. Spent the majority of his career at the club he retired at (in 2012)

Lee Cartwright (my spidey senses tell me it has to be a Preston player)?

1) Has scored 22 goals in 582 appearances for one club
2) Has an older brother who started out as a trainee at Wimbledon and has played for a variety of non-league clubs such as Kingstonian
3) Has a well known relative in the England set up

If this is not figured out within about 15 seconds of starting to read then I despair.

I predict that this will be easy.

1. Started his career as a winger for a Yorkshire club.
2. Played 298 league games for another North-East club
3. Last season was the first he spent outside of the football league.
