With our defence you can write off a clean sheet straight away so will have to find a way to get at least two goals if we are lucky to win it. It’s really quite incredible just the levels of ineptitude this group of wasters are achieving this season when on paper you’d think they would be a fair bit better.

I’ve seen all I want to of Nathan Smith for a while now so for me Crookes gets a shot. He can’t be any worse than what Smith is putting out there. Am ruling out Leon as appears he won’t be playing for us again regardless. Other than that just hope Gibbo and Monty are ok to start.

We will play moderately well but switch off mid way through the half as Southend capitalise and take a 1-0 lead...

We will then huff and puff as Southend defend for 60 minutes whilst their keeper watches on waiting bored for something to do.

Port Vale 0 Southend 1

And Manny (rumours are he wasn’t injured)

I would snap your hands off for a point on Friday. Our team looks absolutely dead, we only have one half-fit striker and he could barely run after 50 minutes last night. We don't really have many back-ups capable of stepping up so I can't see us resting players.

We don't do draws but this would be a good time to start.

However much they are out of form, Exeter at home is always a tough game for us.

The fact Carlisle haven’t played since 2nd January and haven’t been able to do any training for 10 days until this week, and limited training before that due to our training pitch being fucked, makes Saturdays game a big ask. I think the squad will be rusty as hell and it might take a couple of games for us to get back to the pace of things. Not playing at all and not training much in a month is bound to have an effect on performance levels.

Taking that into account I can’t see anything other than an Exeter win. Fortunately for us we have some room for error with the games in hand, so we’ll have opportunities to make up for the points dropped in this defeat

This is all in the event of by some miracle this game being on.

Crawley at home for us. When I think of home games against Crawley, I think back to when they beat us around 10 years ago in the Conference at the Abbey under Evans (pre-cash) and the shyster tactics that did for us. Shudder.

Hopefully we’ll have another centre back in by the weekend so we’re not quite so short on numbers. Crawley are on a very good run at the moment so it should be a decent game as we’re doing ok too.

We're going to a ground we never win at, but also don't lose at.

1-1.
True.
I don't think there is any supporter from either club still alive who has seen a FGR league win in Nailsworth.
But against that are the two away wins at Whaddon Road, the first of which in 2018 guaranteed FGR's survival in EFL with the goal of the season.
I also echo your prediction, ElGlosico games have a habit of ending in draws.

Is there anything more tinpot than the term El Glosico?

Fortunately you don't get that twice a season.

It irritates me more than the idiots who think it's some huge rivalry that's up there with the Old Firm or Boca-River.

Andy Cook and Danny Rowe up top for Bradford on Saturday, so we'll have to score twice to get anything out of the game.

Were they there at the same time? Wondering if they’ve already played as a pair.

There'll be as many fans there as there were at the Old Firm game the other week tbf.

Nailed on draw for me. Which I would definitely take, we aren't great at home.

Every time FGR play Cheltenham out comes your usual refrain moaning about the expression ElGlosico, an expression that all the newspapers and most of the fans use.
ElGlosico, and its many spellings has now been fully established as shorthand for our Gloucestershire derby match.
And it is a derby game; both FGR and Cheltenham's home grounds are within the County.

Hang on now, it is same title of thread on the Cheltenham forum.
Easy to find for those of us scanning next opponent's forum.
Some bloody amusing comments on it. Some of your posters make Masai and Carver look rank amateurs.
