The opening match. Think USA will be in for a tough loss here. Colombia will absolutely smash these.

0-4 is my prediction.

With the crowd behind, I can see us beat Colombia. Certainly won't be an easy game but we won't be getting smashed for sure.

As time passes by, I'm thinking less and less that Colombia will win by less than 4 goals. Still think they'll win, rather comfortably, but the USA seem a lot better than they were last year. Its a mystery right now as to how they'll do, although their players playing in that pathetic MLS is still a disadvantage for them.

Colombia could win this with their second team I think, but we'll see what happens here.

I think we'll be lucky to get a point here, but it's possible. I'd say 3 matches out of 10 we'd get a point, and we'd win once. A win here will pretty much guarantee our progress, and a draw will help a lot.

You'll lose at least 1 game in the group. Will be against Colombia or Paraguay, more likely Colombia but Paraguay are far from pushovers and they thrive in tournaments. You'll definitely beat Costa Rica though.

Looking forward to watching this, though I will be half-micked by then after enjoying several drams ;)

Btw did I get a team to adopt, I think Epic shouted at me a bit, the bully ( ;) ), but don't think I got one assigned.

Oh gawd, from the times I've seen Paraguay, they are a bunch of hackers who'll stop at nothing to foul!

Mind you, its better than getting Brazil :D

This is probably the most excited I've ever been in my relatively short life.

Seriously though, start Nagbe over Beckerman and Pulisic over Zardes. Beckerman too slow for midfield. Zardes well is zardes...idk how he gets a national call up tbh. Cool name though.

Zardes is amazing, don't question him.

PREDICTION: Wondolowski to fail miserably. He always (and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE WATCHED HIM PLAY) does well enough to be MOTM when he's playing against my team in MLS, and always does horribly when I want him to do well.

Seems solid, Yedlin's a great attacking fullback.

Wait a minute, where's Tim Howard?

That's probably why its solid as you won't have that idiot Howard in goal! :D

Edit: I'll actually take that back; I didn't know that was Guzan, who is even worse than Howard!!

Penalty for handball to Colombia, and James tucks it away, 2 - 0!

Donovan to come out of retirement and score a hattrick mid-game. 500/1, get your money on it!
Klinsmann's face said it all for that penalty; he look's a beaten man already!

Is the USA usually this bad? I seem to remember them having a lot of spirit and fight in the World Cup a few years back when I last saw them.

Lib is right, this is so comfortable for Colombia, it's 2 - 0 but it could have been much more if they wanted to. Not a great start for the hosts.

We did. Just not when we were playing this badly.

What the fuck was that performance. So static in possession. Colombia didn't even have to work that hard. What does Klinsman see in Zardes? Such a poverty player. Just play Pulisic as a striker with Dempsey behind next time.

Time for Klinsman to go imo. He hasn't improved us much considering the hype he came with. Landon Donovan still being the best player US has produced says it all really. Pulisic could be the next big thing for us but he plays some shit player over him.

Colombia didn't awesome but enough to control the match and keep the win with facility. US was able to had ball possession for a small moment but nothing offensively efficient and a weak performance in a whole. Have to see how Paraguay will do but the first impression is it will be hard to US to classify to next phase.

James got an injury in this match, didn't he? Don't know if he'll get out of other matches because of it but don't see Colombia having much hardships in the group even without him.
