Well thats just a lie, you continued to use furlough after December 2020, the evidence is right there. Chesterfield FC did not.
'Chesterfield F.C. Community Trust' (06903318) did though. 245k according to your very own method of extracting data from the spreadsheet you've shared. Quite a lot for a charity that. Interesting that they state on their website that they share many resources with Chesterfield FC.

Jesus Christ you guys are so dumb. The community trust is a separate charitable enterprise based at the stadium. It hosts community facilities based at the stadium for charitable events that would have been mothballed due to lockdown.

Its finances are completely separate to the running of the football club. Any furlough money would not be used in the day to day running of the club.

Keep reaching boys, its the dregs of society like Grimsby that continue to function at tax payers expense while other clubs survived using existing revenue streams. Take some responsibility for what you're club did.

Okay so the entire non-playing staff at a league club clocking in at around 300k is being questioned but 245k for a charity that puts on events at Chesterfield clocking in at around 245k seems legit?

Also you're claiming like Chesterfield didn't furlough people when everyone knows they did? https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/local-news/chesterfield-fc-puts-players-furlough-4027337

Yea we furloughed people like everyone else, our crime appears to be not allowing a respectful amount of time to elapse before we continued our squad building. It's a bit like breaking up from a long term relationship really furlough when you think about it.

NOT ON OUR PLAYING STAFF

16 March 2020 - league was suspended.

2 April 2020 - Wrexham announce staff and players are put on furlough

2 June 2020 - We announce our Retained list

17 June 2020 - league is finally ended

17 August 2020 - our pre season started, with no players on Furlough

throughout the 20/21 season - at no point were any of our players placed on furlough. Staff, yes.

Having finally reviewed the spreadsheet apart from Jan 2021, we were in the 0 - 10,000 brackets, and stopped claiming in July 2021

seems Chesterfield claimed possibly 5 times more than we did in the same time period, and continued to do so when we stopped claiming

So what you're saying is that Chesterfield were straight on Tinder, Bumble and Hinge and probably even going out on dates before your last relationship was fully finished?

It's what any savvy person should do. Get a few irons in the fire ready for the post-break up sexual splurge.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
So Chesterfield furloughed all players and staff.
Can we draw a line now, and move on.
I know I’m not obliged to read all postings, but I do, and this is now beyond tedious.

Looking at that table all but one month we were in the 0.01-10,000 category. The only time we weren’t in that category, we were in the 10,001-25,000 category.

Therefore it’s morally right that we won the league last season really.

Can't wait for someone to tell the Chezzie fans that by the time we get to Jan their glamour tie at Stamford bridge will either be behind closed doors or open only to those without a pocket full of Kleenex ;)
It's the law of Bojo.
Our Covid insurance will cover that

The Trust are a separate entity that just operate out of the Community Hub in the East stand of the ground which has loads of non football club related facilities, cafe, soft play, gym, sensory room etc
Theyve operated out of there for years and put on all sorts of events, charity work and are a fairly sizeable operation. Obviously during Covid non of those events could happen so not suprised the claim from them was sizeable.

Whilst I have your attention they do some seriously good stuff round the town completely unrelated to football/CFC fans. I’m certainly proud of the work they do in the community.

I’m pretty happy based on the snapshot above we aren’t the anti christ would like us to be :)

The registered club ownership.

The majority of the shares in the club are owned by Chesterfield FC Community Trust

again, appreciate that they do other non football related stuff.

I'm painfully aware that as you are a Wrexham fan I will probably have to get the crayons out as you have the IQ of a Tory party spokesperson talking about her nights off, so allow me to simplify the situation:

From December 2020 the companies responsible for paying playing staff at Wrexham and Chesterfield FC did 2 different things when it came to acquiring funding to support their respective clubs.

Wrexham AFC, despite being taken over to fanfare and hype by 2 shitty but rich actor clearly spending a fortune on players subsequently, continued to claim tax payers money.

Chesterfield FC did not do any of that.

Dress it up how you like but its a fucking disgrace Wrexham have used tax payers money.

I'm not sure why our corperate set up is of so much interest to you, are you trying to infer that there is something 'dodgy' going if so then please elaborate.
Agreed, and in fact I should like an apology issued. Being mentioned alongside the likes of Chesterfield FC is damaging to our brand.

Have you included the £1 million Government loan you received middle of March 2021 as part of your figures?

That was a loan from Sport England, available to all clubs that met the criteria and needs to be paid back thus not leaving the tax payer out of pocket.

Wrexham claimed and spent tax payer money that will not be seen again. All while spending thousands on new players and giving it large how rich they were. Utterly reprehensible.

I think all you chromosome missing pricks defending the indefensible because of football rivalry are disgusting little tiny minded fucktards. Rather than admitting how shitty it is that clubs like Wrexham, Stockport and Notts County etc continued to claim tax payers money despite other funding sources being available you attempt justify something that is clearly wrong with whataboutery.

I reckon you’re just angry a new furlough scheme wasn’t announced this week along with the new restrictions.

I can imagine it now, the BBC cutting straight from a Rishi Sunak press conference to the streets of Chesterfield where countless fans fist pump the air with joy thinking of all the injured signings they can bin off before signing your promotion rivals star players.

Scenes like when the Saudi’s bought Newcastle perhaps.

To be honest, why does anyone even care about this now?
Everyone used the furlough scheme to an extent, why wouldn't you?
If the scheme has been misused HMRC will get to the bottom of it, trust me.
I worked in payroll for a bit during the pandemic and they are certainly hot on investigating claims whether they were for £4000 or £400,000.
If Chesterfield, or any club, have misused the system I'm sure it will come out at some point.
We probably should just let it be, get on with the now, and let HMRC sort it out in their own time....

We all have the tendency as football fans to defend our clubs when it’s obvious they’re in the wrong but Chesterfield fans really are something else.

I’m convinced that if their players walked out wearing Swastikas and used a puppy’s head for a football, they’d come on here after the game wondering what all the fuss was about

Boris is about to launch plan B , there's a good chance we can start furloughing our injured players and bring new ones in with the FA cup run were on.
This time next year we could be in Europe Rodney.
