I'm sure there's other lovers of the beautiful Futsal game on here aside from myself, and Lee of course, so make yourself known!

Good win for England on Saturday at the Copperbox against Sweden, 7-3. Great to see an attendance of over 1400 as well which shows how much potential the game has, and at such a terrific venue as well. Really hope we can push on from here and not just improve results wise, but in attracting people, especially youngsters to play and watch the game as well. Has such potential in this country, you only need to look how much we've come on in the last three or four years to see that.

Also wish the FA would give a toss about it more, seems very far down their list of prerogatives.

Whats the difference between futsal and 5/6 a side?

Size and weight of the ball (smaller and heavier)
Kick ins instead of throws
Max of 5 fouls allowed. On the 6th, a penalty is given. Then it's reset back to the 5 fouls allowed.

I'm sure there's more as well. It is similar to 5 a side but there are noticable differences when you are watching. The strategy in particular often differs completely.

I'm more keen on playing than watching. Actually I don't think I ever watched a futsal game. Just so much quicker than a game of football who has a lot more build-up and requires more patience. You can basically score a futsal goal out of thin air, hell even I manage it.
I think Elie plays it as well.

And yes England have to promote this sport. It just shows how far behind technically the brits are to all the other big nations.

I watched Russia Vs Spain a few years back. Was on TV and was hooked. Don't tend to see it anywhere on telly though.

I play every Monday too, though I have to stop as I'm training for a marathon and after playing my legs hurt for a few days, mainly the shins.

4:58. My target was under 5 hours so I was happy with that. Though I'm never rubbing again.
