RefWatch; Ref for Gas v Wombles is Ben Toner, 30, from Darwen in Lancashire. First season as FL ref & he doesn't get glowing reviews so far; 'easily bullied, picky & whistles far too much' are some of the nicer ones. Teaches English in Fleetwood High School, and if his teaching is anything like his reffing then those poor little inbred northerners truly are fucked for life.

Reffed Wombles once, the 2-0 home defeat to Pilgrims in Aug (1Y). Reffed Gas 3 times; the 3-2 win v Imps in Sept '14; the narrow 7-0 home win v Alfreton in April '15 and the 2-1 win v York in Dec '15. Hates the scum. Never reffed them. Hates them. Home win % is 45% - average. In 18 games this season he has given 66 Y & 2 R - high fussy yellow.

Also, congratulations to Calamity Kettle who made such a tit of himself yesterday after stepping in as a late replacement for Dean Whitestone, who pulled out at the last minute (something he does all too often, as Michelle's Twitter followers well know). When even Chris Kamara thinks you're an idiot, you know you've hit rock bottom.

AnagramWatch; Ref Ben Toner = Born Rent Free.
Bristol Rovers =ITV Slob Error.

Wimbledon can't see them losing We can't see us losing. They have a great away record but we've won 7 and drew 1 of our last 8 at home. An even 1-1 draw and if anyone thinks they'll win just because of the reverse fixture then you're an odd person.

Our home form has been good recently but this is anything but a banker given Wimbledons record.

They're 2nd in the form table over the past 10 games and unbeaten away from home for 5 months, having lost only 2 on the road all season. They've won 4 out of their last 5 away games, with a very impressive draw at runaway leaders Northmapton in the other.

This is the toughest home match we have left this season and if someone offered me a draw right now I'd take it.

We looked tired on sat with three weeks of tues sat and I feel this may be a tues too far. Narrow home win likely. Would love to nick a draw.

Why not, out of interest? We were the better team at Kingsmeadow, despite playing with ten men for pretty much the whole game. We haven't lost away from home for eleven games and are second in the form table over the last ten games.

Against that we've never won at Rovers and you have the best home form I think.

I'd take a draw to end our five game run against top sides.
As mentioned on other posts, purely because of our home form recently and there's a real feel good feeling going around at the moment. The doubt in my mind is that Gaffney & Sinclair are injured.

Regarding the reverse fixture, thats a fair point but you can't judge things on 1 game imo (even if its all you have to judge on). We have a history of not being able to play against 10 men and you know these things can sometimes help the team who are down a player.

We'll see, its bound to be a good game but I just have a feeling we'll win. We're feeling a bit of a high at the moment but in fairness I wouldn't be surprised if this brought us back to reality.

I also realise this is one of the most contradicting posts ever

Will be a poor turnout from us, probably under 300 if Northampton (376) is anything to go by.

What state is your pitch in Gasheads? If it's decent we'll be in for a good game. I'm going for a score draw.

Neither team could use the pitch as an excuse for a bad performance, it's in very good nick. Hopefully a good game, which in my opinion is too close to call.

I agree. Best game I've seen all season on an excellent surface at Sixfields last week. Looking forward to this one.

I thought it was a really good game of football tonight, and although the score was 3-1 it could of gone either way with both teams creating numerous chances.
Wimbledon played good football and you can see why they do well away from home, be good to see you finish in the playoffs

A game of two keepers. Yours made some good saves and ours didn't. Well done and maybe we will see you in ther playoffs. I doubt it for us though.

There was alot of shirt grabbing all game by both sets of defenders I thought and it got worse when the ref wasn't giving any free kicks for it

Second best side we've seen at the Mem going forward you play some brilliant football. Much better side then the chasing pack like mansfield, Wycombe, Luton ect. Shame it's unlikely we'll both go up but all the best for the rest of the season and maybe see you at wembley. Proper club.

A really enjoyable game of football.

Think we deserved our 2 goal lead at the break and it probably should have been more. Easter could have scored when clean through but the keeper made a decent stop and we definitely should have done better when Lines and Taylor broke through with just 1 defender back. Took far too long to get his shot in on that occasion.

We had another chance to go 3 up when a nice interchange put Leadbitter in at the start of the second half but again the keeper saved with his legs.

The game changed a bit when Wimbledon pulled a goal back. It gave them a lift and from that point on it seemed very open and end to end. During that period Wimbledon looked the more likely to score and Mildenhall was called into action to preserve our lead. Thankfully Lines and Taylor combined again and this time MT shot first time and secured the points for the Gas.

I think we edged it over the 90 but the game was so open with so many chances it could easily have ended 5-5.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Wimbledon in the play off's. Definitely one of the better sides I've seen this season.

Had to watch this one back, must say what an advert for League Two. One of the most enjoyable games this season.

Apart from the Bristol Rovers fans, more specifically every time I see yous play I get "Goodnight Irene" in my head. Bastards. Be quieter.

Enjoyable game of football.

Wimbledon definitely one of the better teams we have come up against this season, would be far from surprised to see them get into the playoffs. Looks like only squad depth and maybe goalkeeper that would hold them back.

Only real difference is that we were more clinical in both boxes. Mildy made some saves that the Wimbledon keeper did not and we had clinical finishes from our two strikers. Definitely hurt Wimbledon with Lyle Taylor (I think) going off, he looked a threat.

As for the Akinfenwa incident, looked more like our player was fouling him but in saying that, it did look that Akinfenwa did make contact prior and the foul, if I remember correctly, was awarded outside the box. I can see why he would be annoyed, but surely a man of much, much more experience has to be smarter than that. A very pointless red card and although didn't really matter do this game, leaves his team without him, he should know a lot better.

TBH, I think it was a blessing in disguise. He comes on as a sub and does nothing. At least now, Ade Azeez will be first choice striker sub, and we know what he can do.
