Solid if not spectacular, was the type of win we needed to get out of the rut.

We really negated a poor MK Dons side to no chances of note. Bare in mind our terrible defensive record as of late, I’m not sure what I was more surprised about, Nichols finally getting his goal or us keeping a clean sheet.

Truthfully, if Nichols had actually missed that chance I think you could virtually count him out ever being what we signed him for. Yes, he’s been a good player in actual performances but he’s also here to score goals. Proof will be in the pudding now, will he start a run of goal scoring form or will he go back to barren ways. He can possibly look next to him at Gaffney and Ellis Harrison and players who have somewhat turned around performances, we’ll see how it goes.

Looking at the table it’s mad that despite how poor we’ve been and with our best player out, we’re midtable and not even a mile away from the playoffs. Granted I can’t see how we’ll be in and around that in current form, but if I were in that dressing room I’d definitely take encouragement at our position when we’ve been far from our best

If Timid Tommy Nicholls has been playing so well then why does your manager not want to pick him of late and why does no-one on here include him in their suggested line ups?

Mate, you should really concentrate on a team that you know about. Nichols has played in 17 of our 19 first team fixtures so far and this is with a manager that always rotates his squad. It really doesn't matter what a handfull of fans predicted teams are, we are not picking the team, are we?

You really need to let your obsession with Tom go. It's not good for you.

Curly, I’m aware you’re new here, but this is a place that all of our fans should be allowed to share their views no matter their warped idologies or idiotic postings. I know it’s difficult, but you need to let some of the “fragile” types feel like they have a safe space. I trust you’ll see the error of your ways and encourage the little special snowflake as without his regular post on every single one of our threads, I just have no idea what he would do with his life.
