Absolutely. Couldn't feel any more apathetic towards the national side, find it quite comical when they lose. Rarely watch them unless it's a tournament either. Roll on next Saturday...

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Ipswich's Marcus Evans being charged with (of all things) Olympic ticket touting. Seems random.

The recent England U21 team vs Norway

Random but thought this pic was good. Our academy seems to be doing something right if we produce more England under 21 players than Liverpool, Man Utd/City, Arsenal, Tottenham etc.

To be fair, 95% of their academy players will be foreign.

I can understand why our club gave up on our academy. It's a shame but if you are too small the system is rigged to allow the bigger teams to cherry pick your players.

We might as well have gave up on ours - Barring Adam Armstrong (hopefully) we haven't produced anything in a good number of years since Andy Carroll.

You can claim Rolando Aarons, sort of. Poached him from us at 17 years old, seems to be quite a talent.

Aye I had a quick check before I posted that in case I was missing anyone obvious but I will give you that one.

Had Gazza and Jackie Milburn which no one can take away from us. Then we also have Shola, Sammy and Tomi Ameobi.

Wouldn't mind Aarons back here, doesn't seem to be getting many games at your place, but looks a talent!

He'll always get game time when he's not injured but sadly that's all too infrequently. He was out for pretty much the entirety of last season and is now out for 8 weeks following the league cup game last month.

You're right though he is a cracker.

Our supporters trust are taking the WMP to court over the treatment of some of our fans at Birmingham last year. It was disgraceful, they've always been heavy-handed jobsworths whenever we've travelled there, but 51 fans were turned away purely for what they were wearing or looked like. Not sure if I've mentioned it on here before, because it does seem incredibly far-fetched, so I'm glad something is finally being done about it.

Well it's looking like Cellino might finally be on the way out (well, as far as majority stakeholder is concerned). Been rumblings for a while about bids on the table. Looking like Andrea Radrizzani has sorted a deal with Cellino. It's slightly concerning that they're both Italian and I believe known to each other but Radrizzani appears to be very well respected and connected. Cellino likely to keep 15% or so. Mixed reports with regards to where the money is coming from. Some say he's going alone but he has very strong links to China (Baofeng Sports recently invested in Radrizzani's company and he is now president of Baofeng's international arm). He brokered the deal for the Chinese takeover of Inter Milan recently, so other murmurs about Baofeng or other Chinese investors being involved here.

Ultimately who knows and with Cellino, anything is possible, but everything seems to be falling into place. Might turn out as shit as the last couple of takeovers but it's about time we got something to go right. The fact that we just released a very short statement about GFH's shares being bought so that Cellino's parent company now own 100% of the club, and there's nothing from him or anyone else commenting on what would normally be quite big news, tells me something will happen in the next few weeks (and before his embezzlement court case in Italy where he could very realistically face jail time).

Watch this space...

Well you should anyway...but yeah, most people will be much happier if we hear positive news about our future regardless of a stuffing at home!

Because if we're not getting taken over, Monk will have been sacked (and still could be) with a defeat tomorrow - and that's not the club I want to support. Absolutely amazes me that Cellino still has supporters.

These stats graphics always make interesting reading, first ones out for this season. Makes pleasant reading for us though I think the Rotherham game has skewed it somewhat.

Surprised to see Huddersfield rank as one of the lowest in terms of chances created. And Derby's attacking effectiveness  "I've had to manually hack this graphic because Derby were ruining it"

Yeah the Rotherham game has distorted ours a bit, read we still would have the most shots though I think. Derby game should be interesting, most shots in the league vs least shots faced. As for Rotherham, don't think we helped with where they are on the scale

Saw that on our forum earlier, Cardiff are the closest to us on the attacking effectiveness with 14 shots to every goal they score, us sat on 98 shots per goal  Ridiculous.

Villa's owner Dr Tony Xia has actually gone on twitter to ask fans their advice on a solution to stop conceding late goals :conf:

A bit of common sense after our 8500 attendance in the last round of the cup...£10 for adults to get in against Norwich in the next round. £2.50 kids.

Tommy Wright suspended by Barnsley after video comes out of him receiving a £5000 bribe, Hasslebank filmed agreeing to fly out east to represent a firm for £55,000 per trip and Cellino filmed in a meeting discussing how to get around transfer rules.

Depends what he filmed saying, could quite easily say he never condoned the actions merely stated how it could be done or something.

Either way, it's piling more pressure on him to get out (which is already close by all accounts).

Also quite funny that Tommy Wright was linked with a job here a few weeks ago

Not sure what's wrong with that exactly, in isolation

I'm so glad we didn't fuck Pemberton off for Wright, by all accounts we tried...
