It's not currently a feature that's available with Xenforo (partly because as it's an on-site notification - meaning it's not required for site owners to offer an opt-out facility).

That said, we are looking at how this can be implemented and whether it's viable.

For now, if you have not already done so; navigate here: https://www.thefootballforum.net/account/preferences and uncheck " Receive email when a new conversation message is received ". This will ensure no email notifcation and your PM icon here on-site will simply turn red when they are sent, which you can ignore.

I've opted out of emails. I'd prefer not to get PMs. I love football, but I don't want to bet on it.

For now we don't have functionality to just filter certain PM's. Until I look into how plausible that feature is to code; I can disable the PM functionality as a whole for you - but this would mean you can't send or receive any.

If you or anyone else would like to opt for this, let me know and I will get it done.
