There is so much interest in this one that there isn't even a thread with 7 hours to kick off.
We have lost our last two but haven't actually played that badly.
We have won something like our last seven at home, and the only goal we have conceded at home this season was scored by our right back!
Edinburgh reckons he may change it up a bit tonight, which may not be a bad thing.
Houghton will probably come back in, Cody could well start and I wouldn't be surprised to see Aaron Morris given some sort of a run out.
I am not taken to bouts of optimism but I reckon we will win.
There, I have said it.

I would be quite keen to see Edinburgh go back to the formation that was suiting us so well last season with the 3 centre backs, but I understand Oshilaja is still out of contention for this so maybe save that for whenever he's back. I really want to see McGlashan get some gametime tonight, maybe with a change of shape. Our forwards haven't really been firing this season so I would be inclined to switch to a 4-2-3-1 and play with a single one - either Norris or McDonald.

I'd love to see:

Nelson
Jackson - Egan - Ehmer - Garmston
Wright - Houghton
McGlashan - Dack - Loft/Dickenson
McDonald/Norris

With G.Morris, A.Morris, Hessenthaler, Osadebe, Loft/Dickenson, McDonald/Norris and Williamson/Donnelly on the bench.

Loads of pace on the wings in that side, and Dack gets a bit more support further up the pitch - I feel he's being targeted for special attention by opponents of late (understandably), so to put a couple more attacking midfielders in should either ease the pressure on him, or create loads of room for the wingers. Fleetwood haven't started great, so we have to be looking for the win. We've never beaten them though.

Safe trip to any of the travelling Cod Army.

I'm going for an unspectacular home win. 1-0 with a goal from oooooooh, Douglas Loft with the winner three minutes into the second half. Specific.

Wasn't able to go but I believe apart from a decent start, we was absolute shite. 4 goals conceded in 16 minutes is embarrassing. Massive game against Scunny on Saturday

Great win for Gills after 2 defeats thought Fleetwood were extremely poor despite taking the lead.

Good to see Donnelly (his 2nd was a cracker) and McDonald get off the mark.

Must say big respect this the 37 Fleetwood fans of who made the long trip

We weren't even particularly good tonight IMO, although we played well - 6 out of 10 performance, maybe pushing 7. Mad period after Fleetwood scored, 3 goals from close range followed by a ridiculous strike from Donnelly (although the keeper was in a ridiculous position to help him make his mind up!). Second half was much calmer, but good to see Cody finally score. He looked sharp too.

Best home record in the country, That's played 5, Won 5. For 14 Against 2 (one of which was an o.g)

Maybe being in this northern league has its advantages

Nice to get back to winning ways after those couple poor results.
Also nice to finally get our strikers scoring. Can't believe we were top with only Norris out of our 4 forwards finding the net all season. Weird.

Now Cody is off the mark, hopefully he'll find his usual output.

A strange game.
5-1 definitely flattered us and was a little unfair on Fleetwood.
Having said that defensively they were woeful and if they continue to defend like that for the rest of the season they will struggle big time.
At 1-0 down we sere second best and the fishy people really should have scored more, if only they had someone who could head the ball three feet in a straight line.
As soon as the equaliser went in though you could almost see the confidence and fight drain from the Fleetwood players.
Donnelly's second was an absolute corker and he had a good game and now deserves to get a couple more starts.
All in all a very comfortable win in the end and would have done the players confidence no harm ahead of the Oldham game on Saturday.
