A lack of promotion/relegation six-pointers this time round.

There is us away to Ipswich - I'd be happy if we took anything from that though. We beat them at home, but aren't that great at the moment, hindered by the transition to a new manager (who is trying to get us to play less direct than Ainsworth) and injuries to two key attacking players.

We should beat FGR on paper, but Wednesday are a better side than us and they beat them, so who knows.

Speaking of Wednesday, will be interesting to see if they can get over their blip. Every team goes through a bad run, but if they're going to end up in the playoffs (long way to go yet, but...) you really don't want to be doing that off a shit run of form and a lack of confidence.

Two games against play off hopefuls, both will be desperate for a win.
Let's hope Bolton spend the week celebrating and have an open top bus to the town hall on Thursday....
Seriously though, not sure we will get much from either, striking options will be limited with Stanno (and Brown) out, and our defense needs to be better than yesterday.
I'll be happy with two points!
The Bolton game should be a sellout in the home end, let's hope the away fans also sellout

Going to find out about the character of a few of these players at Accy and how they respond after Saturday where they just flat out quit after falling behind. Given against Oxford we won’t be able to name Matty Taylor in the squad I’d play him at Accy then swap him out for Wilson on the Monday. Unfortunately Garrity and Cass are not going to be available for a while yet.

Just feels we’re on a countdown to the retained list more than anything.

We’re going to get twatted in both of our games over Easter. We’re half on the beach and half in the treatment room.

Roll on August and the new season.

I'll be ecstatic with a couple of draws but a miracle of a win and a draw would just about see us safe I would think.

:hb:So after fantasy land ^^^ lets get back to reality. I'm hopeing for a point against Portsmouth as I can't see us getting anything at Derby. Anything but 0 points from the 2 games please.

If we lose to Derby, we could be mathematically relegated at Wycombe on Easter Monday.

Let’s hope not.

I think the last team we relegated was the Gas ages ago at theirs, probably the most hostile atmosphere I’ve ever seen at a game, not helped by the fact that the away end also featured a bunch of Bristol City and Swindon fans come to jeer.

A bunch of stuff got thrown at our players from the stands and all the players (from both sides) scarpered off the pitch the minute the final whistle went. And this was before the Gas started having beef with us, imagine what it’d be like now.

Anyway, I’m not expecting the travelling Vegan Army to be quite as hostile (or indeed numerous, let’s face it you’d have to be a right masochist to do many away trips right now as an FGR fan, even if I guess we’re one of their closer games).

One season we got relegated and I don’t think any statto worked it out until well after the final whistle - it’s probably the best way to go, blissful ignorance.

We know we've been shit all season, to summarise only a little bit, so unless you beat us 7-0 and hospitalise one or more of our players, and smash up our team bus while waving kebabs in our collective face, and singing "Oh Cheltenham We Love You", I can't imagine there will be any grudge on our part towards Wycombe. If anything you're the most persuasive model that exists of how what had been a long standing non-league team can make it successfully in the EFL.

Our away fan base have nothing if not an attuned sense of black humour, and despite everything, this year's travelling support is the biggest we've ever had yet throughout a season (bolstered a wee bit of late by some Evertonians), although obviously the chance to see FGR play at places one never imagined they would play at is part of that. Before the season started I think we generally knew it would be hard going, even if we didn't appreciate just how hard. We will be back though. ...

Oh yeah, it’s not so much the grudge part, just don’t want to be the ones to send you down.

But I’m sure we’ll have plenty in the crowd that will run through the usual “hilarious” repertoire of relegation chants.

If Fleetwood could roll over on Good Friday we would be obliged, ta very much... away at Bolton on Easter Monday is a real toughy.
Four points from the two is my idea of dreamland - it would put us back in touch with the relegation rivals...

So after rolling over and getting our bellies tickled by a side that had been winless in ages we get the luxury of facing two more sides in identical predicaments, cant contain my excitement.

Usually after a game I have calmed down after a day but I am still livid and judging by the forums most of our fans are in the same boat, so on that we need a huge reaction Friday, DC's interview suggests that will be the aim and its a must not lose game to keep the gap at 10 points and probably secure safety.

If we play like we have on the road in recent weeks we should get a result at Stanley, if we play like we did at the weekend we will get slapped 3 or 4-0.

After their antics at Vale Park and the ridiculous decisions that we didn't get including the goal pulled back it would be nice to right the wrongs here and hope the lads are pumped up, their character will be defined by how we respond, under DC we generally do respond well but Saturday was a new low in effort and performance levels so we will wait and see.

Further forward the Oxford one is a biggy purely for the home fans to see the reaction, that could go toxic if we lose that and dont put in the effort.

Tough match against Wycombe, not sure what to expect from them with the new boss.
One of the most frustrating games this season was at their place.
Home areas completely sold out, but disappointed to read that Wycombe have only sold around 250 tickets so won't be a complete sell out. Thought they'd bring more as it's not far and they're chasing promotion.

That is pretty poor, we don’t travel in numbers generally but would have thought we’d manage around 4-500 over a bank hol weekend.

I’m going, but I don’t generally go to away games so I have no moral high ground from which to criticise our support.

Once again we find ourselves looking to bounce back after a heavy defeat. We've managed it a few times this season so I hope we can dig deep and show character again.

Morecambe will look to frustrate us. Might be our turn for a disappointing draw.

I really hope we can string another few wins together, but as a team we've been playing greater than the sum of our parts for the whole season - hopefully we don't run out of steam off the back of the Wembley disaster.

If we do go up we're going to need to recruit really well again. The only player I think we have who is actually Championship standard (and above!) is Michael Cooper.

Ipswich's League 1 all stars seem to have finally clicked at the right time, I too make them favourites despite their fixtures.

To be fair, that's just the number being chucked around. I haven't seen anything official confirming the numbers.

Hope you have a good trip (except the result of course!).

Big weekend for us. We're suddenly in the playoff mix.

I reckon Bolton will still be OK for 5th place as they have a pretty soft run in. However, 6th place is up for grabs after Derby's poor run of results.

Peterborough are now in pole position. They have a mixed bag of a run in and can be pretty erratic.

Derby have stalled but have a nice set of upcoming fixtures to try to sort their form out.

Wycombe are still there but it they seem to be trying to change their way of playing, post-Ainsworth. After Ipswich away on Friday they have a very winnable batch of fixtures until coming to Fratton on the final day.

Our next 5 games look OK. We have to go to Shrewsbury but they seem to have dropped away with injury problems. Our final two games against Derby and Wycombe could be interesting if it's still up for grabs.

I still think we'll fall short. We've lost the two wide men who looked best suited for Mousinho's system, and we're too accident-prone at the back. Nice to still have something to play for though.

We could have three defenders back for Friday, which will be a relief because it's not very funny watching Sorenson try and play at RB when he's not very good in his actual position of CM!

We're just so strong at home, but Wycombe aren't on the beach by any means so we will need to perform reasonably to get the 3 points. Be interesting to see if they achieve that new manager bounce, hopefully not Friday.

Don't worry...the vast majority of our fans aren't in the least violent...we don't have a firm, we have an infirm!

Barnsley at home Friday - looking forward to this. We have a decent record at home against the tykes. My daughters first ever game, let’s hope it doesn’t put her off for life. Hoping for goals and lots of them.
I predict a 3-3 draw.

Well thats not too bad for Wycombe. Their average is only about 600, plus its a fair old trek, about 120 miles or so, plus the traffic will be bad it being Easter.
I'll be so glad to be shot of u Patronizing farmer boys

Cambridge away, we struggled to beat them at home back in February and yet we might do better away. A real battle ahead, and tbh a draw won't be that bad a result. Stockley and Marriott partnership continues to get better and will be surprised if one of them isn't on the score sheet. 1-1

Now Montsma out for the season as well, sound like he might have done his ACL for a third time.
