The Championship trophy perhaps?! They managed that a few years back.

All very well coming out with a sound bite, but it's totally at odds with his actions in running the club.

If there's ever a time to seriously invest in and back the club, it'll be this summer. Attract a capable manager with a good budget and the freedom to clear the decks and rebuild.

Changed his tune then - said they weren't bothered about the cups.

I've defended Ashley a few times, but his comments at the weekend will be judged with actions not words.

They've got the potential to be a successful club, and as deluded as 'some' of the fans are they deserve some success.

He's only said what he has in order to get bums on seats for next year and to keep the supporters going to his club shop. Nothing will change, it will be exactly the same next year, even if they do bring in a decent manager like McLaren.
