Watkins hasn’t been playing as a striker, been largely playing in midfield. At one point in the season he’d set up more chances than anyone in all of the European leagues. He’s also English so rightly or wrongly will cost more than someone like Maguire, and we’ve already turned down a £10m+ bid for him.

No worries Abertawe but we do have charity bets down here every season. I've no doubt a couple of challenges will head your way (our player X will score more than your player Y, finishing above blah, blah, blah) so be prepared and have a charity in mind.
For example, I have a yearly bet with Indian Dan (Swindon fan) over who finishes higher in their respective division. I won last year and Dan contributed a tenner to Hospice South west, he won this season and I contributed a tenner to the greyhound trust.
It's never a lot of money (usually a fiver or a tenner) but it keeps things interesting and makes a few quid for various charities.
Maybe Dai would take a bet with you over promotion / relegation for the Swans / Cardiff?
This isn't the Prem forum so there are few, if any, big egos at this level.

Judging by Abertawe's post about so many grounds within a short distance of his home, I don't think he lives in Wales.
FWIW, most people don't know that 'Taff' applies to people from Cardiff, Swansea people are 'Jacks' according to my customer from Bridgend who has just enlightened me.
