Both teams picked up their first win last weekend. Two teams that like to get the ball down and pass (but not necessarily score). Pompey have had a longer rest but Exeter have home advantage. Exeter fared well against us last season with two wins (one against a Pompey B team) and a draw.

The last three seasons this fixture has been 1-1 so I'll stick my neck out and say..... a 1-1 draw.

Home advantage?? Ha ha that's funny....

We have to get at least a point tomorrow otherwise three home league defeats in a row would cause crowds to drop further and the pressure would build on the players.

Hope that Olejnik is back in goal, plus Moore-Taylor will hopefully come back into the defence. I'd also like to see Wheeler start now that he's back.

We're still missing Lee Holmes who's a big loss so we will be relying on the likes of Taylor and Wheeler to give us some cutting edge.

Portsmouth should be doing far better and they will be tough opponents. I'd agree with the opening post that 1-1 seems a fair bet but I am going to stick my neck out and say we will nick this 1-0 with Robbie Simpson scoring....I was right last week!

Think this is a real chance for us to pick up something, Exeter play football (Unlike some of the teams in this division) so hopefully will play into our hands. Also they tend to do better away than at home.

Could be an interesting formation on Saturday. I'm wondering if Cook will go with the diamond that he used for the last 30 minutes against Colchester, with Hunt and Chaplin up front? Chaplin's pass for Roberts' second goal last week and his two goals in the U23 cup game must surely give him a chance. If he is picked and it works (two big 'ifs') could this finally by young Conor's big breakthrough?

Saw this game - Pompey deserved to win but the pen was very soft!

Yep, pretty much. Don't think it was a pen but they were the better side for the majority of the match so deserved the win.

only seen highlights but it's one of those that will be given by most refs with a view from behind. the defender was never getting there first so any contact is a risk.
annoying when they go against you though.
wonder how many Roberts will hit straight down the middle before a keeper does his homework.

Just seen an interview from him after the game and Roberts says his ex teammate Robbie Simpson was trying to put him off saying he'd told the keeper where was going so he changed his mind last minute.
