Gutted that I've not been able to make it but sounds like County are below par and Grimsby have had a flurry of chances. Should be more than 1-0 for sure.

It’s always Notts way, teams who we need to drop point are and we can’t capitalise!

With Wycombe now winning I hope Nolan knows, kitchen sink time!

My emotions are all over the place! County equalised. Then we scored. Argh!

At least it didn’t end a drab 1-0 away defeat. Notts poor away showings are sadly common especially against inferior sides this season. Our record against relegation contenders and the already big relegated away from home is awful for a side in our position

Next up Luton and then the play offs. Can’t afford to put in another poor away performance in those

Hate to say I told you so but what the heck :ds:

SIMPLY TOO GOOD TO GO DOWN, like I said as far back as August.

I still can’t believe that ending, despite Notts putting us under huge pressure second half I didn’t see them scoring, seemed like we cleared 3 or 4 off the line second half but hard to tell sometimes from the Ponny but so many goalmouth scrambles at our end it was nerve shredding, especially when I heard Barnet had scored. Then a guy right behind me was calling the crap out of Jamille Matt saying he should never wear the shirt again then as Summerfield runs up to take the corner he shouts ‘prove me fucking wrong Matt’ and then BOOM! Absolute scenes and chaos, then pitch invasion when the ref has only blown for a fucking throw in.
Just unbelievable finish, after some of the shite we’ve had to endure this season that game had everything, could really have finished 7-7.
Michael Jolley has transformed this team to get them actually playing well, especially first half, what a fucking guy.

Fair play Grimsby - better than us on the day and it would’ve been a travesty had we made them wait until next week to confirm survival.

For us it’s all about winning at home next week and making sure of a home second leg in the play-offs. Like watching a different team when we’re away from ML, get through an away first leg without more than a one goal deficit and i’d back us to get to Wembley.

Congrats - got to say i’m massively pro Grimsby after so many of you came to our cause at the pub earlier when the bouncers wouldn’t let us in!

The spoons at Grimsby Town station! Bizarre cos 80% the people in there pre game was Notts, but big up the many Grimsby fans who tried to start a fight with the coppers on our behalf cos we just wanted a pint and weren’t causing any trouble. :D

So happy today, what a performance and what an ending! I was hoping there was still a way Notts County could get promoted automatically after today, but I’ll be pulling for you in the playoffs. I like their fans and it’s good to see teams go up that could actually push and and compete a division or two above. Part of me hopes you don’t go up though because County is one of my favourite away days.
Jolley, what a man. A couple of months ago I couldn’t even imagine being in a position where I would look optimistically at next season

Great game. We had much more of the first half and we should have scored a couple more than we did. Harry Clifton had a great effort off the post and Woolford had two shots saved very well but Collin, who I thought was dreadful otherwise. At the other end, I think Notts should have had a penalty but the (slightly poor) ref didn’t give it and our luck was still in.

Second half was much different and after making the subs, Notts had some very good chances from Grant, a lucky rebound and a header from a corner. Our defence played out of their skins though and I have no doubt this in down to Jolley; even Nathan Clarke slid one off the line! That’s not to say we didn’t create anything. If we had a striker who could finish, we’d have guaranteed safety a couple of weeks earlier.

Even after their other chances, the equaliser was a real sucker punch. McKeown at fault (after his world-class save earlier) but County persevered and I think everyone only expected them to go on and score after that. Thankfully, Jamille Matt finally made use of himself and scored a crucial goal in our history. Unreal scenes at the end, though our fans have got some sort of fetish about going on the pitch.

Thought Hunt, Collin and Noble were very poor for Notts while Forte and Grant were good. As said, our defence was good but our star performers were JJ Hooper and Luke Summerfield, who is probably offer a new contract to - not something I thought I’d say 18 months ago!

Good crowd, well-behaved barring the pitch invaders and safe with a game to spare. Thank fuck it’s over!

Anybody poor for Grimsby today or did all play well?

Hunt is a desperately option IMO can’t wakt for Toots Tom come back. Noble needs dropping, Collin is Moreno than good enough for this level

On to the playoffs ....

Wow I didn't realise Cliftons shot had hit the post I thought it had gone just wide.

And we really got away with one with their non penalty as it was blatant and the whole ground saw it, but thankfully not the ref.

Well done Grimsby, you started positively, first to the ball and played good attacking football, fully deserved win.

Fuck me, that was abysmal, just as we have been away from home most games since Christmas.
Nolan needs to up his game.
Collin needs dropping, Fits is the better keeper and Noble needs dropping for his own good. O'Connor should start against Luton, play an hour in preparation for the play offs.
I honestly have no idea what a Nolan coaching session must look like other than set piece practice, we were completely incapable of playing anything approaching football today, just panicky hoofball, again.

Bearing in mind the playoffs features two out of three away games if we get that far Nolan has some serious work to do .
We've now lost away to Barnet, Chesterfield and Grimsby and looked rubbish doing it. Worryingly had today.
